NOURNEWS- On Thursday, during two extraordinary meetings chaired by the President of Iran, in the morning and the evening, the Supreme National Security Council reviewed the events related to the operations carried out against the positions of the Jaish al-Zulm terrorist group and Pakistan's response to this operation.
The meetings of this council are usually held in the early days of the week, and therefore, holding a meeting on Thursday, in the morning and in the evening, shows the special importance that the National Security Institution has for the recent events and the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan.
The Jaish al-Zulm terrorist group has established a military and training barracks in the uninhabited areas of the deep mountains of Pakistan, and while recruiting and training terrorist agents, it has carried out numerous terrorist activities inside Iran, which have resulted in the martyrdom of several military and law enforcement forces and ordinary citizens.
According to the elites of the intelligence and security organizations of Iran on the movements of this terrorist group, reliable information has indicated the implementation of plans by this group to carry out major terrorist operations in the eastern regions of Iran.
Based on this, the armed forces of Iran carried out a preemptive action against this terrorist group and destroyed a significant part of the facilities, equipment, and forces of this group.
Regarding Pakistan's countermeasure to Iran's preemptive operation, an informed official said, referring to Pakistan's countermeasure in response to this operation; Contrary to the news published in the media, this reaction was carried out on the border wall of Iran by numerous small explosive drones, and contrary to Iran's operation, some ordinary Pakistani citizens living on the border wall were targeted in this incident.
Regarding the meeting of the Supreme National Security Council on Thursday, this informed official added: The definite policy of the Islamic Republic is to protect the country's national security framework with all available means, and based on this, in the future, any movements and preparations for terrorist operations of this kind will not be tolerated.
In this regard, the foreign ministers of Iran and Pakistan also talked and exchanged views on the phone today.
In this conversation, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan announced the country's readiness to cooperate with Iran in all matters based on mutual trust and cooperation and emphasized the need for closer cooperation in the field of security issues.
