NOURNEWS- The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has strongly condemned the United States' decision to designate Yemen’s Ansarullah movement as a terrorist group.
In a statement on Thursday, Hezbollah said the move by the US to blacklist Ansarullah was unfair and arbitrary, describing it as part of America's years-long aggression against Yemen.
Hezbollah said the United States is itself supporting Zionist terrorism, especially the aggression against the Palestinians in Gaza.
The statement further emphasized that the US decision does not undermine the resolve of the Yemeni people and their influential role in lifting the blockade on Gaza.
Hezbollah said the move will only strengthens the Yemeni people's resolve to continue their support for the people of Palestine.
The US State Department on Wednesday re-designated Ansarullah as a terrorist organization amid increased attacks against Israeli-linked ships traversing the Red Sea.
US President Joe Biden had taken the Yemeni resistance group off the so-called terrorism list in 2021.
