NOURNEWS- Iran’s police chief Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan has announced the arrest of the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Rask, southeastern Iran, in an extensive counter-terrorism operation.
“After the Rask incident, I promised the dear people of Iran that we will take deadly revenge on the terrorists, and I hereby announce that in the past few days, the police units have achieved a significant success in the fight against terrorism,” Radan said on Sunday.
He explained that the four main perpetrators of the terrorist attack were captured alive, shocking the masterminds of the attack who thought they were out of the Islamic Republic’s radars.
“We have received good information in order to arrest the other perpetrators and masterminds of the Rask incident, and we will burn the root of terrorism by the grace of God,” the police chief added.
In mid-December, the police headquarters in Rask County, in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan, was attacked by the Jaish al-Adl terrorist group. Eleven police forces were killed and seven more wounded.
