NOURNEWS- In the past two days, a rumor was spread on the networks by some personal accounts belonging to the anti-resistance movement that "Sayyed Reza Hashim Safi al-Din", the son of "Sayyed Hashem Safieddine", the head of the Lebanese Hezbollah Executive Council, has been arrested on charges of spying for Israel. This rumor, which was published with the photo of another person named Dr. Hisham Safieddine a university professor in Canada, was denied by this person.
Dr. Hisham Safieddine has stated in this denial:
False rumors have been published on social networks along with my photo, in which it is claimed that I am the son of the head of Hezbollah's executive council, Mr. Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, and falsely, along with other claims, they have accused me of spying for Israel and that I was arrested because of that. This claim is completely fake and the reason for its publication is still unclear to me.
The fact that I am currently a free servant and a university professor in Canada is clear proof that these claims are false. In addition, my father is Nazem Safieddine, who passed away a few years ago.
All the attacks against me because I supported our people and nation in Gaza and Palestine, as well as my support for the boycott of goods to Israel and the right to legitimate resistance against the Israeli occupation - in any peaceful or military form - are baseless and false and will not serve their purpose.
