Iran’s trio islands in the Persian Gulf and the country's national security

With Russia's recent support for the statement of the Arab countries about the three Iranian islands, once again all Iranians are worried and feel serious danger. In the issue of the three Iranian islands, what is very important is the essential role of these islands in ensuring the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Iran's national security is largely dependent on the safe keeping of these Iranian islands for the long term and forever.

NOURNEWS- During the imposed war (Iran-Iraq War) what increased our power in the Persian Gulf was the proper use of all the islands in the Persian Gulf, especially these three islands, which prevented the Americans from using decisively all the warships they brought to the region to support Iraq.

I consider the importance of these islands very high from this point of view. It is important that Iran should have a specific long-term plan and act based on it so that no one makes a claim about these islands.

I had and have several suggestions for this matter, some of which depend on us, and there is no need to accompany other countries. My most important suggestion is that Iran should have an economic and social view of these islands and distance itself from the view that these islands should be kept away from other people's greed only with a military approach. We have to turn these three islands and their northern coast into three important poles of tourism, sports, recreation and life so that people inside Iran have regular traffic to these three islands and so a large number of Iranians live in them.

These islands have the capacity and ability for Iranians to live in them permanently. About one hundred 50-story towers should be built in these islands for commercial, recreational, tourism, sports and residential purposes. Of course, first a comprehensive architecture and urban planning plan should be prepared for them, and then based on that plan, port construction, bridge construction, and airport construction should take place.

In a country like China, small islands are connected by numerous bridges, and even in the sea, highways have been built on these bridges. Greater and Lesser Tunb islands are next to each other and almost attached to each other, and building a bridge between them is not a difficult task. Even these three islands can be connected to the nearest coast of Iran in the Persian Gulf by building a bridge. The transformation of these islands into an important residential, recreational and tourism center does not necessarily require government funding and can be done with private investment. Anyway, the issue of ownership and sovereignty of three Iranian islands is very important and vital for the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Even the UAE's claim and support of countries like China and Russia regarding UAE's claims should make us angry and confused. Our diplomatic system should not simply ignore this issue and think that answering these claims and summoning the ambassadors of these countries is enough. In any case, Iran's foreign policy apparatus should not consider the story of UAE's false claim to be over. I have written many times before and said that Iran should warn them about the possibility of accompanying the UAE's claim on the three islands whenever it notices the visit of one of the heads of government of other countries to the UAE.

It is necessary to mobilize public opinion inside the country so that these three islands and their northern coast, which is located on the Iranian side, become three big poles of trade, tourism and sea sports. In the discussion of islands, the issue of our national security is raised, and in this sense, these islands have a very vital value for us, and God forbid the day when one of these countries sets foot on these islands. If such a problem happens, the power we have now in the Persian Gulf will suddenly decline.

Long story short, motivated project manager at the national level and with full authority should be selected by the government to make these islands an attractive place for Iranians to invest and commute. In my opinion, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, and the Ministry of Tourism, and above all, the President, should follow through on the implementation of this plan so that instead of going to Dubai, Iranians travel to these islands for sightseeing and entertainment.
