- Disruption in Iran’s oil exports to China rejected

The head of the Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce on Saturday rejected as “fabrication” a media report that Tehran had withheld oil exports to Beijing, demanding higher prices from its top client,
Citing refinery and trade sources, Reuters said on Friday that Iranian sellers had told Chinese buyers early last month that they were narrowing discounts for December and January deliveries of Iranian Light to between $5 and $6 a barrel below dated Brent. Those deals had been struck in November at discounts around $10 a barrel, traders said.

- Niavaran to put Iran’s 54 caravanserais registered in UNESCO on display

In an effort to showcase and emphasize the importance of Iran’s globally-registered caravanserais, an event titled, ‘54 Registered Caravanserais of Iran in UNESCO,’ will take place in Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center from January 11 to 13.
Maryam Delafkan, the executive director of the event, highlighted that it was September 17 that 54 caravanserais were inscribed on UNESCO’s world heritage list, adding that this achievement is among the significant events that contribute to the cultural heritage and identity of Islamic Iran, Tasnim news agency wrote.

- Five countries are destinations of 80% of Iran’s exports

The head of the Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) said eighty percent of Iranian exported products are destined for five countries, namely, China, Iraq, Turkey, the UAE and India.
Mehdi Zeyghami pointed to the significance of increasing the export of technology-based products with higher added value, and noted that the recent conclusion of a free trade agreement (FTA) between Iran and member states of the Eurasian Economic Union is a good opportunity for promoting the competitiveness of industrial and production units.

- Gen. Qa’ani: Arouri’s Comrades Will be Israel’s Nightmare

The commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Sunday warned of the “nightmare” facing Israel after the Zionist regime assassinated Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement.
Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani issued the warning in a letter to Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas’ political bureau.

- NIGC: Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan in Talks to Resume Gas Swap Via Iran

Turkmenistan and the Azerbaijan Republic are in talks to resolve a problem that has halted gas swap between the two countries via Iran, the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) has announced.
The halt in the gas swap is temporary and the transfer will be resumed once the problem is resolved, IRNA reported on Sunday, citing the NIGC which is affiliated to the Iranian Oil Ministry.

- Mehran Border Exports Over $1bn of Non-Oil Goods to Iraq

Head of the customs office in Iran’s Ilam province Aqamir Abdi said on Sunday that $1.346 billion worth of non-oil products has been exported from the province’s Mehran Border Crossing to neighboring Iraq in the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2023) so far.
Speaking in an interview with Mehr news agency (MNA), Abdi said 2.366 million tons of goods, valued at $1.346 billion, were exported from Mehran Border Crossing to Iraq.

- IRGC adviser foresees Palestinian defense advancements against Israel

 A senior IRGC advisor has shared his belief that Palestinians are close to developing the capability to counter Zionist bombings while strengthening their defensive capabilities.

General Iraj Masjedi, advisor to the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps and former Iranian ambassador to Iraq, made the remarks in the International Conference on Human Rights Defenders on Sunday.

- Anniversary of death of Gholamreza Takhti marked

The 56th death anniversary of Iranian legendary wrestler Gholamreza Takhti was held on Sunday. The memorial was held at Ibn-e Babouyeh Cemetery in southern Tehran, near Shahr-e Ray, where he is commemorated every year by the Iranians.

Takhti was born in Tehran on August 27, 1930 and was found dead in a hotel room on Jan. 7, 1968. He won the gold medal in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, defeating Boris Kulayev from Soviet Union in the final match.

- Shahid Soleimani petro-refinery’s executive operations to begin soon

 The managing director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) said on Saturday that the executive operations of Shahid Soleimani petro-refinery complex will begin within the next few months, Shana reported.

Making the remarks in the signing ceremony of a contract on ceding 450 hectares of the Special Economic Zone in Bandar Abbas in southern Hormozgan Province, Jalil Salari said the National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company (NIOEC) is carrying out the project’s assessment and studies.
