Raisi to his Turkish counterpart: Enemies cannot disrupt Iran’s unity through terrorism
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi says the enemies may believe they can achieve their illegitimate goals through terrorism, but the Iranian nation has proven that such crimes will not disrupt their “unity, security, and strategy.”
President Raisi made the remarks on Wednesday night as he received a phone call from his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The phone call came after two terrorist attacks targeted a ceremony commemorating the fourth martyrdom anniversary of Iran’s legendary anti-terror commander General Qassem Soleimani in the southeastern city of Kerman, which left nearly 100 people dead and many more wounded.
“This terrorist incident occurred on the anniversary and in the vicinity of the resting place of a martyr who is known as a hero in the fight against terrorism and violence in the region,” Raisi said.
“The enemies of the Iranian nation may think they can achieve their illegitimate goals through the tool of terrorism, but the Iranian people have proven that these crimes cannot disrupt their unity, security, and strategy,” he added.
The Turkish president, who had earlier conveyed his written condolences to the Iranian leadership and nation said, “I felt it necessary to personally express my sympathy and condolences to you regarding this heinous terrorist attack.”
Emir of Qatar to Ayatollah Raisi: Kerman's terror attack aimed at destabilizing Iran

The Qatari Emir also called for deeper cooperation between Qatar, Iran and other Islamic countries in the region to put an end to the Israeli atrocities in the Gaza Strip.
