NOURNEWS- Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, today (Thursday, December 28) at the 13th meeting of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, during a speech about the current situation in Gaza and the aftermath of the Al-Aqsa storm operation, pointed out America's support of the Zionist regime in the past two and a half months and said: America came to manage and control the situation with all its strength and constantly sent us a message that firstly, we (the US) are not looking to expand the scope of the war, and secondly, advise your proxies in the region not to take action against us.
Stating that they were given a strong response at every stage and the Islamic Republic of Iran responded to them at the official level, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran noted: At the same time, we told them (the Americans) many times that we are not looking to expand the war, but you are lying. If you are not looking to expand the war, your bases should not use this amount of facilities and weapons day and night for a limited area called Gaza.”
While mentioning that America came with all its strength, Amir-Abdollahian stated: Today in the White House and in the decision room located on the eighth floor of the basement of the White House and in the meetings that are held, there is a fight between them because of the depth and intensity of America's support of Israel and how is Israel's defeat is being valued as America's defeat and failure. The end result of those discussions and arguments was that Netanyahu's government was defeated in the occupied territories.
According to the Iranian foreign minister, the Americans are currently facing this mounting challenge.
Continuing his speech at the 13th meeting of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, the minister of foreign affairs said: One of the developments that have occurred in the current world is that the American hegemony no longer has the power to implement its own decisions. They still have the hegemonic components, but they can't apply and this is an important development.
Amir-Abdollahian added: Today, a non-governmental movement called Hamas, with a maximum of 30,000 to 40,000 troops, located in an area that has been fully besieged for more than 16 years, has reached the point where they are negotiating with them.
Furthermore, the Iranian foreign minister mentioned his recent trip to Doha and his meeting with Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, and added: I met with Mr. Haniyeh in Qatar on Wednesday, and two or three hours later he was leaving for Egypt, because the opposite side says let's sit down and negotiate how to release the prisoners.
