Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has described the increase of cooperation between Tehran and Ankara in the fields of energy, transportation, investment, and border trade as a serious agenda of bilateral relations.

NOURNEWS- Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has described the increase of cooperation between Tehran and Ankara in the fields of energy, transportation, investment, and border trade as a serious agenda of bilateral relations.

During the meeting with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Yildiz in Tehran on Thursday, Amir-Abdollahian pointed out the friendly and high-level relations between the two neighboring countries and the serious will of the presidents of the two countries to further expand cooperation in all fields.

He emphasized the necessity to pursue the existing mechanisms, including the political consultation committee, the joint economic commission, and specialized working groups to promote trade relations between the two countries.

Regarding regional issues, Amir-Abdollahian stressed the need for more cooperation to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip as soon as possible.

Yildiz explained the efforts of his country's foreign minister within the framework of the contact group of Islamic countries to immediately stop the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip. He also stressed that Turkey is willing to develop bilateral relations, remove the obstacles to promote economic cooperation, and increase the volume of trade between the two countries.
