NOURNEWS- Iranian Ambassador to Riyadh Alireza Enayati has said that Iran and Saudi Arabia are two important countries in the Islamic world, whose brotherly ties have helped promote the position of the Islamic countries when it comes to global developments.
The ambassador made the comment on Monday as he met with Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh at his office in the capital Riyadh.
Enayati said that Islamic countries should be united in the face of outside challenges.
The Saudi minister said on his part that Islam is a religion of moderation, which calls for coexistence and compassion among all people, Arab News reported.
The minister also elaborated on Saudi efforts to serve Islam and spread moderation, according to a post by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs on X, formerly Twitter.
