NOURNEWS- “Hossein Amir-Abdollahian” and “Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud”, the foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia, who are present in Geneva, met today, December 13, and discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments, especially the situation in Gaza.
Referring to the good meeting between the President of Iran and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Amir-Abdollahian thanked Saudi Arabia for hosting the meeting of Islamic and Arab leaders in Riyadh regarding Palestine.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran considered Iran and Saudi Arabia to be two very important and influential countries in the region, and while expressing his satisfaction with the progress of political relations, he emphasized the necessity of developing economic and commercial relations between the two countries.
Referring to the gradual progress of relations, he added that Iran is ready to strengthen the relations between the two countries in various fields.
Iranian foreign minister also referred to the developments in Palestine and the continuation of the Zionist regime's war crimes and genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, and emphasized on the need for joint efforts between the two countries, as well as the Islamic countries and the region, to exert strong pressure on the Zionist regime and the US government in order to establish a ceasefire immediately and sending urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud also expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and emphasized that the relations between the two countries are on the right track, and we are witnessing a positive trend in bilateral relations, and we welcome the development of relations between the two countries.
Pointing to the development of political relations between the two countries, he said that fortunately, contacts and discussions continue in various fields, and economic ministers have also started their talks and contacts, and Saudi Arabia welcomes this process.
The Saudi Foreign Minister also considered the existence of various cooperation documents between the two countries in various fields as a strength and said that we welcome the follow-up and implementation of these documents.
Bin Farhan expressed his satisfaction with Raisi's presence at the Summit of Islamic and Arab countries and the positive meeting between the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and Dr. Raisi in Riyadh.
He said that we have a common view regarding the support of the Palestinian nation and the immediate establishment of a ceasefire and the sending of urgent humanitarian aid, and we will continue our efforts.
