NOURNEWS- In a meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Army and a group of naval commanders of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, pointed out the many capacities in the navy, especially the capacity of this force to help implement sea-based economic policies, on the need to discover new capacities in order to increasing the authority of the system and the country as well as creating vitality and hope in the society.
In this meeting, which was held on the occasion of 28 November, the Day of the Army's Navy, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution called this day a historic and unforgettable day and added: This day should be introduced as the day of sacrifice of the Navy.
Ayatollah Khamenei called the progress of the navy since the beginning of the Islamic revolution remarkable and unbelievable and said that in the first years of the revolution, the presence of the navy beyond the territorial waters was something unimaginable, but now while referring to the 360-Degree mission of Iran navy, the Supreme leader said that the navy travels all around the world with its strength and fortitude and returns to the country with pride.
The Supreme Leader added: One day, it was not imagined that the navy of the army would be able to be present in the Caspian Sea, but now destroyers are built on the shores of the Caspian Sea and launched there.
Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic revolution, emphasized on improving the capabilities and combat readiness of the Navy by using the capabilities of this force and noted: One of the capabilities of the Navy that can create hope and vitality among the youth is creating the basis for the possibility of visiting military camps, factories and capabilities of this force.
Ayatollah Khamenei noted: Efforts should be made to make the navy of the army a comprehensive strategic force.
In this meeting, while presenting a report on the capabilities and activities of this force, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, the commander of the navy, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the announcement of sea-oriented development policies and emphasized the readiness of the navy to help implement these policies.
The commander of the army's navy listed expanding the area of influence in the sea and relying on technology and knowledge as the two main policies of this force in order to strengthen the power components of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
