NOURNEWS- More than 40 days have passed since the start of the resistance of the people of Gaza against the widespread crimes of the Zionist regime, and in the meantime, some changes in behavior on the part of the Western supporters of the Zionist regime are worthy of consideration.
In this regard; Rishi Sunak, the British Prime Minister, who had previously officially stated during his trip to the occupied territories, that he was very happy to be with his Israeli friends in difficult times, in the past days, dismissed Britain's Interior Minister Suella Braverman and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, James Cleverly which was replaced by David Cameron.
These changes took place in a situation where Braverman had adopted extremely racist and extreme positions in support of the Zionist regime and condemnation of British demonstrators supporting Palestine, and Cleverly had caused the failure of British foreign policy, especially in Islamic and Arab countries, by considering the killing of Gaza as legitimate.
In order to show the change of track, Sunak acknowledged the high number of Palestinian casualties in the Gaza war and stressed that the Zionist regime should act according to international laws and, in addition to protecting the lives of civilians, this regime must allow more relief aid to enter Gaza.
On the one hand, this apparent change should be considered to be derived from the internal differences between the members of the conservative ruling party regarding the positions of the British regarding the disasters in Gaza, and on the other hand, it should be considered to be caused by the message of the demonstrations of several hundreds of thousands of people in various British cities in support of Gaza, which could lead to the fall of the ruling party and Sunak lead in 2024.
The results of the latest survey by the “Statista” institute indicate a record-breaking decline in the popularity of the conservative ruling party, and the popularity of this party has reached 23%, which is the lowest rate in the last four years.
According to the report of this institute, 47% of British adults who participated in this survey said that they would vote for the Labor Party in the next general election.
Suella Braverman's revelations that Sunak had secretly promised her support if he won an interparty contest to become the leader of the Conservative Party is further evidence of Sunak's critical condition in winning over his fellow party members.
Although Sunak and the conservative party decided to get out of the crisis situation and reduce the amount of pressure by changing their positions in unilaterally supporting the Zionist regime, these apparently humanitarian gestures did not last long and Sunak wanted to stay in power and maintain the positive opinion of the Zionist lobby and imposed sanctions against the senior leaders of Hamas and their supporters.
This sanctions action means; Sunak follows the same positions and behaviors as his extreme interior minister, and there has been no change in British positions in support of the Palestinian genocide.
In other words; Sunak's actions in removing Britain's extremist Interior Minister or making humanitarian claims in support of Gaza are only apparent measures to avoid its shameful fall, and in practice, no change has been made in his and his government's anti-human positions.
