NOURNEWS- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has said that the emergency meeting of heads of Islamic and Arab countries once again highlighted the importance of Palestine and the Holy Qods as an important factor for convergence in the Islamic world.
Amir-Abdollahian on Sunday night on the social network Instagram presented a story about the trip of Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi, President and accompanying delegation to participate in the emergency meeting of heads of Islamic and Arab countries regarding the situation in Palestine.
In the report of his trip to Riyadh, Amir-Abdollahian added that on Saturday, we left for Riyadh together with President Raisi to participate in the emergency meeting of the heads of Islamic and Arab countries.
He continued that from the very first days of the terrible crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, the idea of holding a meeting at a high political level with the presence of heads of Islamic countries to make collective decisions in support of Palestine was proposed by the president of our country and benefiting from the capacity of diplomacy of the (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) and it was considered in the diplomatic consultations.
He pointed out that President Raisi who participated in this meeting with ten important, operational and urgent proposals, decided to make a decisive decision for the benefit of the Palestinian nation, including stopping the killing and genocide in Gaza, completely lifting the human blockade, cutting off any political and economic relations with the Zionist regime by the Islamic countries emphasized the establishment of an international court to prosecute and punish the leaders and criminals of the Zionist regime and the United States, the establishment of a special fund for the immediate reconstruction of Gaza, and the large-scale dispatch of convoys carrying humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people from Islamic countries.
The Iranian foreign minister pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the main and permanent solution for Palestine in accordance with international law in holding a referendum to determine the fate with the participation of all genuine Palestinians inside and outside this land, which has always been emphasized at the highest political levels.
Amir-Abdollahian continued that the meeting of senior experts to prepare the final statement of the summit was held according to the usual procedure, Iran's reservations regarding clauses of the statement were officially announced and sent to the Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation through an official note.
He further added that bilateral meetings with high officials of Egypt, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Mauritania, Nigeria, Syria, Qatar, Lebanon, and Sudan were another important part of the intensive plans of this trip. In these meetings, in addition to paying attention to developments in Palestine, the latest state of bilateral relations and the areas of strengthening relations were discussed.
