NOURNEWS- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, Mehdi Safari, and Tajikistan's Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Sherali Kabir in a meeting in Dushanbe announced their willingness to strengthen and expand cooperation in the fields of industry, mining, new technologies, transit, and oil.
In this meeting, which was also attended by Iran's ambassador to Tajikistan Alireza Haghighian, Safari pointed to the capabilities of the Islamic Republic in the fields of nanotechnology, biotechnology, catalysts, petrochemical production, production of new medicines for cancer patients, advanced medical equipment for brain surgery, chemical drugs and agricultural supplements for agricultural production growth.
He also announced the readiness of Iranian knowledge-based companies to cooperate with Tajikistan in developing bilateral economic cooperation.
The possibility of cooperation between Iranian well-known companies in the fields of exploration, extraction, and processing of mines, and investment with Tajikistan in various economic and commercial sectors, was also discussed.
Sherali Kabir, while acknowledging Iran's advanced technologies, welcomed cooperation between the two countries in the field of knowledge-based companies and expressed interest in expanding interactions with Iranian pharmaceutical companies to meet domestic needs.
Transit cooperation, as well as the production of tractors and agricultural equipment, were also discussed in this meeting.
