NOURNEWS- During the past month, the focus of the public opinion of the world and many governments and international institutions on the legitimate defense of the Palestinian nation against the Zionist occupation has had several reactions.
One of the most significant of these cases has been the large and numerous demonstrations in Britain, especially in the streets of London, which, although the media and politicians of this country try to boycott and downplay it, they are unable to hide the fact that their behavior and positions are not in line with the will of British citizens.
Charles III, King of Britain, delivered his first speech in the Parliament of this country on Tuesday. This speech was held while the affiliated media such as the BBC, by highlighting how Charles was present in the Parliament, repeated the same behavior they had at the Queen's funeral and then Charles' coronation, in order to induce that the people of this country want the monarchy system and are proud of it!
This media behavior is happening while at the same time as this speech, hundreds of people opposed to the royal system in Britain organized a protest rally. Participants in the protest near Parliament Square in London held yellow placards with the slogans: “You are not my king” and “Abolish the monarchy”.
They booed Charles and chanted protest slogans as he drove towards Parliament in his royal carriage. Last June, during the coronation ceremony of Charles, there was a massive demonstration against the royal system.
Graham Smith, one of the leaders of the anti-royalty and republican movement, called the coronation an expensive pantomime and a slap in the face to millions of people who are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.
Even now, more than a year after the death of Elizabeth II, not only the protests have not subsided, but according to statistics, many people consider the monarchy as an additional element, expensive and outdated. Statistics also show that 70% of the British community no longer accepts the monarchy.
On the other hand, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's condition is not very good. While traveling to Tel Aviv and ignoring the crimes committed by the Zionists in Gaza, he called himself and his government a constant friend of Israel, which is completely contrary to the behavior and requests of British citizens.
The anger of the leaders of London is such that in addition to attributing the massive demonstrations in London to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Rishi Sunak, in an obvious act against freedom of speech, has summoned London Police Chief Mark Rowley because of his green light to hold Pro-Palestinian demonstrations!
The British PM said; I think these marches are disrespectful, and I will talk to the police chief about it! Sunak had previously claimed to justify the suppression of the supporters of Palestine and stated that the government would take any necessary measures to deal with anti-Semitic behavior.
“Suella Braverman”, the British interior minister, has also supported the suppression of these demonstrations. These repressions happened while hundreds of supporters of Palestine, continuing their wave of sit-ins in the train stations of the British capital, occupied another station in this city.
Pro-Palestinian and anti-Zionist activists also painted the British Foreign Office building red to coincide with the 106th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.
Interestingly; The court-affiliated media, including the BBC, while using words such as anti-Semitism, supporting terrorism, supporting hostage-takers, etc., against the demonstrators, are trying to justify and support the British government's repression against the supporters of Palestine, which people gathered in front of the BBC office while calling this network a liar, its door and walls were painted red in support of Palestine.
