NOURNEWS- In a phone conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, the latest developments in Palestine were discussed and opinions were exchanged.
Referring to the position of Iran and Egypt as two important Islamic countries, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian the Foreign Minister of Iran considered it important to continue consultations between the two countries regarding ways to end the current crisis in Palestine and the brutal attacks of the Israeli regime against civilians in Gaza and the West Bank.
The Iranian Foreign minister also stressed the importance of the upcoming meeting of heads of Islamic countries and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Riyadh and expressed readiness for the continuation of joint consultations between Tehran and Cairo.
Amir-Abdollahian also emphasized the readiness of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran to send humanitarian aid to Gaza through Egypt.
In this telephone conversation, while explaining Egypt's measures to deliver international humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza, Sameh Shoukry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, thanked and appreciated the positions and efforts of Arab and Islamic countries and the Islamic Republic of Iran in this regard.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister also emphasized the continuation of bilateral and multilateral consultations to help stop the war and establish a ceasefire in Gaza and send humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
