NOURNEWS- After Amihai Eliyahu, Minister of Cultural Heritage of Benjamin Netanyahu's cabinet, threatened to bomb Gaza with nuclear bombs, the Israeli Prime Minister's office announced this morning that he has been suspended from attending government meetings until further notice.
The suspension, which the Ynet website considered a showy move and “a joke” because according to this Zionist media, cabinet meetings are held rarely and Netanyahu's action is completely “meaningless” in practice.
The story started from here when Eliyahu, who is now called an “irresponsible madman” by the media, proposed the idea of “nuclear bombing” of Gaza, and of course, it didn't take long before he called these statements a “metaphorical” statement and retreated from its positions.
In response to a question about the fate of Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip, Eliyahu said: “I pray for them and hope for their return, but war also has its costs.”
Yair Lapid, the leader of the Israeli opposition, also attacked these statements and called them “terrible and crazy statements of an irresponsible minister” and claimed that he “insulted the families of the hostages in Gaza and damaged the international standing of the regime” with such claims. However, the evidence shows that the expression of such positions by the authorities of the Zionist regime is not new and has a precedent. Previously, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, in his annual speech at the United Nations General Assembly, as in the past, used the same rhetoric against Iran and said: “More than anything, Iran has to face a credible nuclear threat.”
At that time, the Prime Minister's Office of the Zionist regime announced immediately after this speech that Netanyahu had wrongly expressed the phrase “credible military threat” because in the text of the speech prepared for him in advance, instead of “credible nuclear threat” the phrase “credible military threat” was written.
But stating such a wording by the highest officials of the regime, which until now by producing and stockpiling nuclear weapons has created the most nuclear threats against the neighboring governments and the region, only clarifies one issue; The aggressive nature of a child-killing regime that has no qualms about carrying out any unconventional military action and war crimes against other countries.
So far, many attempts have been made to disarm the nuclear weapons of this regime by governments and international institutions, but of course, they have not yielded any results; In the latest case, in December 2014, the UN General Assembly overwhelmingly approved a resolution on the dangers of nuclear proliferation in West Asia, which revolves around Israel's nuclear disarmament:
1- Requesting the occupying regime to renounce having nuclear weapons
2- Quickly and without delay, joining the Treaty on the Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT)
3- Placing all nuclear facilities under the comprehensive safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency
Of course, it was clear from the beginning that the Zionist regime, not only does not obey any of these resolutions but will continue its path of threatening and intimidating its neighbors with these deadly weapons, which are like a sword in the hand of a drunkard.
The nuclear threat of Israel's senior officials against countries happens while this approach is contrary to the rules and regulations of international law. The International Court of Justice announced its advisory opinion on the nuclear threat of states on July 8, 1996. According to the Court's opinion, no rule in customary or treaty international law expressly authorizes the use or threat of use of nuclear weapons.
For years, Israel, along with the West, have been creating stories by accusing Iran of having intentions to acquire nuclear weapons, and have imposed the most severe sanctions against this country. This is even though most inspections of the International Atomic Energy Agency throughout history have been conducted on Iran's nuclear facilities, and no evidence has been found to prove these claims.
On the other hand, Israel, possessing more than 200 nuclear warheads, has not only refused to be a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty but openly threatens other countries with the criminal act of nuclear attack; Threats that, although at first, seems like a media bluff, show the brutal and belligerent nature of the Zionists.
Undoubtedly, the silence of the international assemblies and the decisive support of the Western powers for the Zionist regime's disregard for the foundations of international law and the adoption of illegal procedures, which the world is witnessing these days in very heinous and inhumane manifestations of killing women, children, and civilians in Gaza are the main incentive of this regime to continue its evil actions and keep on killing the innocents.
