Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, who has traveled to Tehran at the head of a 30-person delegation, met with Dr. Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, and discussed bilateral issues, the two officials especially discussed the latest developments in the region and the situation in Gaza in the fields of security and economy.

In this meeting, referring to the cultural and historical background of the two nations and Iran's support for the people of Afghanistan during the period of foreign occupation, Dr. Ahmadian stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran supports the independence, stability, security, and progress of Afghanistan.

The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council emphasized cooperation in various fields, including commercial and industrial affairs, transportation, agriculture, securing Iran's rights, and increasing cooperation in the water sector based on the interests of the two countries.

Referring to the shameless crimes of the false Zionist regime in Gaza and emphasizing the solidarity of the Islamic world to end the terrible crimes of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories, Ahmadian praised Afghanistan's support for the resistance of Palestine and Gaza.

In this meeting, Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, thanked the honorable people of Iran for the hospitality they have shown to the Afghan guests, for the development of economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries, especially for activating the transit area, Chabahar port and cooperation in the field of transport and Air transportation emphasized.

By announcing the commitment of the Afghan side to the implementation of the treaties between the two countries, especially in the water sector, Abdul Ghani Baradar considered the economicization of the borders and joint investment in this connection to be beneficial to the interests of the two countries.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, referring to Afghanistan's determination to fight terrorism and reassuring about border security, stated that Afghanistan will not be a threat to any of its neighbors.
In the end, he thanked and appreciated the assistance of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the people of Afghanistan at different times, especially during the two periods of Jihad.
