NOURNEWS- Stating that Hamas is the legal, elected, and legitimate government of Gaza, the Iranian President clarified that war with Hamas is war with democracy.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi made the remarks in a telephone conversation with Jonas Gahr Støre, the prime minister of Norway, on Saturday night.
Welcoming the position of Norway in stopping the war in Gaza, Raisi emphasized the necessity of international efforts to lift the blockade and provide immediate aid to this region.
President Raisi also urged the human rights claimants in European countries to investigate the violation of human rights in Europe and the United States.
He said that the war crimes of the Zionist regime and the US support for these crimes should not go unpunished.
The fact that one child dies in Gaza every 10 minutes is a clear example of a crime against humanity, Raisi said, adding that the silence and even the arms support of the United States and a number of European countries to the Zionist regime is proof of the double standards of the West and the obvious complicity of these countries in the crimes of the Zionists.
The Norwegian prime minister said for his part, "Norway is aware of the important and effective role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region."
While appreciating Iran's efforts in the field of controlling tension, he said that Iran seeks to interact with Iran to find new ways to resolve the Palestinian crisis.
