Honduras recalls Tel Aviv ambassador over Israeli war on Gaza

Honduras has recalled its ambassador from the Israeli-occupied territories due to “serious humanitarian conditions” faced by the people of the Gaza Strip amid the Zionist regime’s ongoing onslaught on the besieged enclave.

NOURNEWS- Honduras has recalled its ambassador from the Israeli-occupied territories due to “serious humanitarian conditions” faced by the people of the Gaza Strip amid the Zionist regime’s ongoing onslaught on the besieged enclave.

Roberto Martinez was summoned for consultation “in the face of the serious humanitarian conditions faced by the Palestinian civilian population in the Gaza Strip,” Honduran Foreign Minister Eduardo Enrique Reina wrote on X on Friday.

In a statement to the UN on Thursday, the Central American country’s Foreign Ministry demanded an immediate ceasefire.

“Human rights must be respected under all circumstances. A catastrophic humanitarian crisis is unfolding in the Gaza Strip, disproportionately affecting the civilian population, largely composed of children,” it said, according to Anadolu Agency.

Colombia and Chile had earlier recalled their Tel Aviv ambassador in response to the Zionist regime’s constant bombardment of Gaza.

On Tuesday, Bolivia announced its decision to sever relations with the occupying entity.

Israel’s bloody war on Gaza has killed at least 9,227 Palestinians, including 3,826 children, since October 7. The regime waged the war in response to the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas’s retaliatory military operation in the occupied territories.
