NOURNEWS- Hamas spokesman Abdel-Latif al-Qanoua described the Zionists' ground attack against Gaza as an attempt to make up for the Zionist army's defeat.
Speaking to a Tehran based news agency late on Tuesday, al-Qanoua said that the mass killing of Jabalia Camp and the "Baptist" hospital bombardment showed the inability of the occupiers to face the resistance forces and the bloodshed ideology of the Zionist regime.
Palestinian resistance and Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades faced the Zionists' tanks, some of which were destroyed and others were forced to retreat, he added.
Over the last twenty-five days, the Zionist regime has failed politically and militarily and has also failed to achieve its goals, he noted.
On October 7, the Palestinian fighters launched a surprise operation, dubbed Al-Aqsa Storm, outside Gaza after Israeli settlers repeatedly stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in recent days and a record number of Palestinians were killed by Israel in recent months.
The Zionist regime responded by pounding the besieged Gaza Strip after formally declaring war against the Palestinian Hamas group.
