NOURNEWS- The Izz el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Palestine’s Hamas Resistance Movement, has said that the era of the security and military dominance of the Zionist regime has ended and its era of defeat has begun.
Al-Qassam Spokesman Abu Ubaida said on Saturday that the acts of aggression by the Zionist regime and the bloodshed it is carrying out [in the Gaza Strip] are the sign of the severe pain the regime is enduring, Qatar-based Al Jazeera News Network reported.
He referred to the regime’s threats of a ground invasion of Gaza, saying that the enemy is repeating those threats but should know that it will face a defeat much bigger than what it expects or is fearful of.
“The time of the defeat of Zionism has begun and the era of the enemy’s military and intelligence dominance has come to an end,” Abu Ubaida said, telling the Palestinian people that the ongoing war in Gaza is a decisive one.
On the Israeli captives held by Hamas in Gaza, the al-Qassam spokesman said that contacts were made in that regard and there was an opportunity for an agreement, but the enemy stalled on the possibility of a deal.
He also said that Hamas would release the captives if the Israeli regime freed all Palestinian prisoners.
The Israeli regime has said that 229 captives are held by Hamas in Gaza. The movement captured them during its Operation Al-Aqsa Storm on October 7 that also left 1,400 people dead in Israel, according to the regime. Hamas has already released several captives.
In response to Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, the Israeli regime launched its aerial military campaign on Gaza on October 7, constantly targeting residential units and the civilian population. More than 7,600 people have so far been killed as a result.
