NOURNEWS- Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a meeting with his South African counterpart has appreciated South Africa’s strong positions in supporting Palestine against the apartheid Zionist regime.
South African Foreign Minister Grace Naledi Mandisa Pandor, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in the Iranian capital city of Tehran where she met and held talks with Amir-Abdollahian on Sunday.
During the meeting, Amirabdollahian said that the Joint High Commission of the two countries in charge of foreign affairs of the two countries was held in South Africa's capital.
Referring to the common topics discussed in the meeting, he underlined that the two sides pursued the signed documents between the two countries in the Joint High Commission, as well as the agreements in signed during the latest visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to South Africa.
He further noted that today, the world is witnessing criminal acts and genocide of the occupied and child-killing apartheid Zionist regime against the oppressed and resistant people of Gaza.
In addition to the mutual issues of interest, they discussed the latest development in the region and the Zionist regime’s war crime against Palestinian people, the top Iranian diplomat went on to say.
The Islamic Republic of Iran sincerely appreciates the strong stance of the South African government and people in supporting Palestine against the apartheid Zionist regime, he reiterated.
