NOURNEWS- Dr. Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, met and discussed with Mr. Faisal bin Farhan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
In this meeting, Dr. Amir-Abdollahian expressed his gratitude for holding an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and said that the positions of Saudi Arabia in supporting Palestine since the beginning of these conflicts are commendable.
Amir-Abdollahian evaluated the recent telephone conversations of Mr. Dr. Raisi with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia regarding the developments in Gaza as an important step at the right time.
Iran's FM also pointed to his recent meeting with the leaders of Hezbollah, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad and the leaders of the countries in the region and discussed the recent developments in Palestine and Gaza and said that the Americans, which call others to refrain from expanding the tensions are standing with the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Palestine and citizens of Gaza.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized that the situation in the region has reached critical conditions and can get out of control, accordingly, the element of time is essential and critical.
Mr. Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Foreign Minister, also expressed his concern about the plight of the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza and said that it is necessary to stop the attacks of the Israeli regime against Gaza as soon as possible and to support the Palestinian citizens against the attacks of the Israeli regime and to guarantee the security of the Palestinian people.
He added that we will continue our efforts in this direction.
