NOURNEWS- It all started at 7 a.m. on Sunday, 1 October, When 16-year-old student, Armita Geravand, accompanied by two of her friends, showed up at the Metro Station of Tehran's Shohada Square.
According to the statement of the CEO of Tehran Metro Exploitation Company and of course the CCTV images from metro station's cameras, all confirm that Armita, along with two of her friends, after entering the subway platform and just as soon as she was about to board on the train, suddenly lost her balance and fell down due to the sudden drop of her blood pressure and collapsed and hit her head on the station’s hard floor.
Footage shows Armita's falls in a situation that it is only seconds away from her arrival in the train carriage; friends of Armita and some passengers on the train are trying to help her and try to get the teenage girl off the train and try to help her while dragging her off the train wagon.
Also, images from the front platform cameras that were taken a few minutes before the incident showed that Armita and her friends waited for minutes for the train to arrive at the station and while sitting on the station seats, there was no clashing, arguing or causing problems with anyone, she did not argue with ordinary people nor metro staff and officials, the situation is quite normal, and these teenagers were simply talking to each other.
Eventually, after Armita is transported out of the wagon, the emergency and medical team immediately arrives on the scene and takes her to the hospital after taking initial measures to stabilized her condition.
Opposition media fishing out of muddy waters
After the news was published, some opposition and foreign media claimed that a verbal confrontation between passengers and Metro executives had caused the incident and ultimately led to Armita’s collapse, but a video released by Tehran’s Metro that also shows pictures before Armita boarding the train and the sudden drop of her blood pressure, this footage shows that this student girl is calmly sitting with her friends on the seats of the station and waiting for the train, and she is calmly chatting and spending time with her friends.
Another claim that foreign media has made is that CCTV images do not show the inside of the train carriage, while the distance between Armita entering the wagon and her blackout takes no more than three to four seconds, and basically there is no possibility of discussion or conflict in this short period of time. On the other hand, anyone who has boarded the Tehran Metro only once knows that the metro staff are stationed inside the station and not in the train carriage.
What are Armita's parents saying?
As for Armita's mother, she says; my daughter suddenly drops to the ground just seconds after trying to get on the train with her friends, because of her sudden collapse, her head hits the edge of the platform, one of her friends is in front and the other behind her, after the accident and the presence of emergency forces, they transfer my daughter to the hospital.
In an interview with reporters, Armita’s mother stressed that she had seen the pictures and checked all the videos, it was nothing special or out of ordinary regarding this horrible incident, furthermore her kind mother asked people to pray for her daughter’s health, so she gets well as soon as possible.
Armita's father said: “I checked all the films, it has been proven to us that it was an accident, my daughter was not ill, and that she was not taking any drugs. I ask people to pray for my daughter's health.”
This time; they use the code name of “Armita” instead of “Mahsa”
What is remarkable is that in a video Armita’s sudden collapse and her anesthesia in the metro shows about 5 minutes from Armita waiting and sitting of station’s seat of the train station until to the arrival of emergency and paramedics, according to these videos, there is no argument, no confrontation or any fight.
What is clearly obvious in these circumstances; Is the clear attempt of the opposition media to use the code name “Armita Geravand” instead of “Mahsa Amini”, while the Armita family has repeatedly stated that the incident and the situation are clear to them, and they ask not to be marginalized about it.
The foreign media are still trying to exploit the issue of hijab and marginalize an event that could have happened anywhere in this city or the world regarding this matter, the opposition media are trying to incite violence and show this incident through their agenda and biased-oriented lenses in an attempt to fulfill their doomed wish to create a crisis on the anniversary of the last year’s turmoil that failed.
