NOURNEWS- Armen Grigoryan, the Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia, who has traveled to Tehran, met with Dr. Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Sunday afternoon, and talked with him about bilateral affairs, developments in the Caucasus region and the high officials of the two countries discussed international issues.
While referring to the latest developments in the Caucasus region and the necessity of all parties' efforts to establish peace and security in the region, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, in a meeting with his Armenian counterpart, stated: Any change in the region's geopolitics will lead to insecurity, instability, and escalation of crisis.
While explaining the principled and unchanging policy of the Islamic Republic in developing cooperation and interaction with neighbors and creating a region free of any tension and conflict, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, added: frank and constructive dialogues between the countries of the region will lay the foundation for stable security, balanced development and prosperity and comfort for the people of the region.
Ahmadian stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to provide the necessary foundations and arrange a meeting between the countries of the region.
The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, referred to the economic interactions and cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Armenia and the need to increase joint commercial exchanges, then Dr. Ahmadian emphasized and announced the readiness and determination of Iran to improve the level of relations in all areas.
In this meeting, the secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, also pointed to the long-standing relations between the two countries and announced Yerevan's determination for comprehensive development of relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
While referring to the effective role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in establishing peace and stability in the Caucasus region, the Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia called for the continuation of Iran’s role in this field.
Armen Grigoryan considered the economic, commercial and industrial projects between the two countries as very important matters, and he stressed on their implementation as soon as possible.
