NOURNEWS- The parliamentary delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran traveled to Baku to participate in the meeting of the Permanent Committee on Cultural and Social Affairs of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), which is hosted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The parliamentary delegation of Iran headed by Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Zahedi, head of the Iranian Parliamentary Group in APA is accompanied by Dr. Masoumeh Pashaei Bahram, member of the Iranian Parliamentary Group in APA and Dr. Ali Alizadeh, head of the Standing Committee on Cultural and Social Affairs of APA are present and participating in this meeting.
This parliamentary delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Zahedi, met with the members of the Iran Friendship Group in the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan and discussed and exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations and parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
Examining 16 specialized resolutions is one of the important agendas of the two-day meeting of this committee. Another part of the agenda of this meeting is dedicated to the issue of women and women rights, during which the participating countries will present their achievements in the field of women and women rights.
It should be mentioned that the parliaments of 16 countries, Iran, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Cambodia, Qatar, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, and Turkey are present in this meeting.
