Tehran's deadline has made Barzani to visit Baghdad

According to the Tehran-Baghdad security agreement, Baghdad has committed, and it is obligated to the complete disarmament of the anti-Iran terrorist groups located in the Kurdistan region by the end of September 19, and to move all of them from the areas close to Iran's borders to the depth of this country's soil.

NOURNEWS- Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, at the head of a high-level delegation, has met with the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, in Baghdad before noon today 14 September.

In this regard; The Iraq’s Prime Minister's Office announced in a statement: Iraq’s PM, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, welcomed Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and his deputy Qubad Talabani and their accompanying delegation in his office on Thursday.

This meeting, which takes place on the eve of the end of the six-month deadline included in the Tehran-Baghdad security agreement, can be important from various aspects.

Although Masrour Barzani announced the general purpose of his trip to Baghdad was to peacefully resolve the problems with the federal government of Iraq at his yesterday’s announcement, but when we consider the total developments which accrued last week, including the separate trips of Bafel Talabani, the head of the Patriotic Union Party of KRG, and Iraq’s FM, Fuad Hussein, trip to Tehran, which took place following the warnings of the Iranian authorities regarding the necessity of fulfilling Baghdad's commitments in accordance to the said security agreement, we can conclude that Barzani’s priority for being in Baghdad was to discuss the status of the implementation of this agreement and Iran's deadline.

Iran has warned that if Iraq does not fulfill its obligations by the end of the mentioned deadline, it will take the necessary measures to ensure the security of its borders and citizens.

Of course, this warning was taken seriously by the leaders of the terrorist groups based in the Kurdistan Region and their western-Zionist supporters, and in the past few days, despite the media's criticism of Iran, they have been forced to evacuate their bases.

It is worth mentioning; The government of Iraq and Mr. Al-Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq, have made a commendable effort in order to solve the problem of terrorism in the Iraqi region and fulfill the obligations of the Iraqi side according to the Tehran-Baghdad security agreement, but the stone-pelting of the western supporters of the terrorists and groups located in KRG, along with the unwillingness of the Iraqi government, has led to this matter being unfinished and postponed it, until today.

Obviously; As the history of the actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fight against terrorism shows, in addition to ensuring national and regional security, especially with the approach of non-interference by foreign countries in the West Asia, are also one of the main concerns of Tehran, and Iran’s emphasize on the implementation of the aforementioned agreement, takes place with the aim of achieving security, stability, and peace.
