NOURNEWS- The United Arab Emirates, as one of Iran's neighboring countries, although it has good trade relations with Iran, and these relations have expanded due to the policy of Iran's 13th government in looking especially at its neighbors and the positive developments resulting from it during the recent period, but the center of gravity of the escalation of the dispute between Iran and the UAE has been the repeatedly raises issue of the three Iranian islands.
This is despite the fact that according to clear legal and historical documents, the UAE has no right to these islands and its claims regarding sovereignty over this part of Iran's territory are completely illogical and rather coercive, and in accordance to the signed deal with Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi in 1971, before the declaration of the independence of the UAE, this matter has been solved.
However, the Abu Dhabi government, in an obvious fallacy and with a deceptive approach, claims that Iran should settle its dispute with the UAE based on international law and international mechanisms! However, international legal frameworks and procedures basically do not reflect such a thing about terminated and past solved issues.
The point is; According to legal logic, several people or several countries cannot sit together and agree to create an obligation for a third person or country that is not present at that meeting, especially since this third party country, meaning Iran, is neither present at those meetings nor consents, therefore, such a decision is null and void in all legal and ruling structures of the world.
Of course, it can be assumed that the goal of the UAE in these behaviors is to produce subjects of negotiation for the future, because diplomats or lawyers generally try to produce different topics by predicting the future in resolutions and diplomatic documents so that, firstly, through repetition, they can change the audience's mind in their favor, and Secondly, they can refer to them at the time of resolving the dispute, and this is exactly why Iran responds to any statement or resolution in this regard in order to prevent this from happening in the future.
It is necessary to pay attention to several important points, regarding this behavior of the UAE:
First; This behavior of the UAE clearly shows that their hands are empty of any convincing documents and evidence, so by producing new documents or more precisely, “documentation”, they try to keep a closed issue open and by doing so, this has turned a strategy to the opinion and attention of other countries.
Second; Naturally, for any country, including Iran, “territorial integrity” is one of the most important red line, so the UAE cannot claim to adjust relations without paying attention to these red lines. These unfriendly behaviors will definitely have a serious effect on Iran's relations with this country and any other country that uses the same approach and strategy.
Third; The countries that will sign statements of this kind, be it the EU, Russia, China, Japan or any other country, should know that joining these statements is at least considered an unfriendly diplomatic action, while the negative effect of these actions on stability and the security of the region is very critical for everyone, including the countries that play along with the games of the UAE.
Fourth; Regardless of the reason for such actions by the UAE, which is clearly contrary to the country's central strategy in developing economic and commercial cooperation, the authorities of this country should be aware of the negative and destabilizing effects of these actions.
