NOURNEWS- Oppenheimer, the latest movie of Christopher Nolan, the famous British-American filmmaker, which has been released in theaters these days and has attracted the attention of critics and audiences.
Oppenheimer's movie is based on the book "American Prometheus", which won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography in 2006.
This movie is about the life of "J. Robert Oppenheimer", an American physicist, who, under his scientific leadership, created the first atomic bomb in 1945 at the midst of the conflict of World War II, and therefore he is known as the "Father of the Atomic Bomb".
In this movie, Cillian Murphy as Robert J. Oppenheimer played the role of the father of the atomic bomb and the creator of the deadly weapon in the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The release of this movie has been announced in the US and several countries around the world, and some news and evidence say that "Universal" studio has started consulting with the Japanese about the release of this movie in Tokyo and other cities of this country which were the victims of nuclear weapons.
When Oppenheimer was managing the nuclear weapons project at the Los Alamos laboratory, some American scientists wrote him a letter about the consequences of building this weapon and using it in other countries (especially Japan), but Oppenheimer replied: "I have nothing to do with politics, and it doesn't matter who this bomb is dropped on and in which country!"
In such circumstances, the approval of the Japanese authorities to release Oppenheimer in this country will probably lead to the anger of many citizens of this country.
Undoubtedly, many Japanese citizens are against this mechanical and emotionless narration of their country's history, that is, of a terrible event that happened only 78 years ago, and some of its physical and psychological effects are still plaguing the next generations of the two cities of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
Since the atomic bombing of these two cities in 1945 and the end of World War II, the Japanese authorities have never given a convincing explanation to the few survivors of that incident and the next generations about why they normalized relations with the US or digested themselves in the relations on the other side of the Atlantic!
Western media praise Oppenheimer
Western media play a significant role in promoting Oppenheimer and trying to normalize the life of an atomic bomb maker (who was responsible for thousands of deaths in Japan).
The English newspaper “The Independent” described Oppenheimer as "intelligent and creative" and a movie created at its finest.
The Guardian also called it "imperfect" but "extraordinary". The Daily Telegraph also says about Murphy's performance in this Movie that he shines as "the destroyer of worlds". Destroyer of worlds was the phrase that Oppenheimer used about himself years after making the atomic bomb.
As can be seen, attempting to whitewash a massacre and genocide under a work of art and drama and subsequently praising the main character of the film, Oppenheimer, is the proposition that the West is trying to establish in Japan and East Asia in order to change history with an attractive but rather upside-down narrative of a catastrophic crime.
A repeatable formula
Undoubtedly, America's special effort regarding the release of movie of Oppenheimer in Japan and East Asian countries with the aim of desensitizing or even turning the dramatic view into an emotional view of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is a model and formula for other human crimes committed by the US and its allies during History can also repeat itself.
As a rule, the reaction of the Japanese towards the possible release of Oppenheimer in this country can be considered a determinant and a criterion for the continuation or even revision of this Western propaganda method.
