NOURNEWS- At the start of the past week, important news was published about the process of pursuing the right of the Iranian people in the lawsuit filed by the survivors and victims of the Nojeh coup against the American government and 7 other defendants, during the process, the 55th branch of the International Justice of Tehran decided to sentence the American government to pay 330 million dollars as a compensation for its crimes.
In accordance, the government of the US must pay a total of 330 million dollars in financial fines and compensation to the families of the martyrs of the Nojeh coup.
The Nojeh coup was designed, directed and supported by the American government and America’s security and military apparatuses in July 1980. The goal of the coup was to overthrow the legal, legitimate and elected government of the Iran, but this coup faced failed in its first hours after being informed by the Iranian security and military forces.
The recent action of the judicial system in holding the trial of the perpetrators of this coup is significant from several points of view:
Firstly; The holding of this court and the issued verdict is a sign of the growth and great capacities of the judicial system of Iran in pursuing the rights and demands of the people of Iran, this is an inherent competence that is derived from the experiences and legal laws of the judicial system, and based on that, it has the global competence for pursuing extraterritorial cases in order to realize the rights of the litigants.
Previously, this issue was mostly monopolized by the western courts, and they always used it as a tool for their political purposes, but today, the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran has broken this monopoly and with a new perspective, justice-oriented and people-oriented organization will take advantage of its competence to assert the rights of the victims of America’s state terrorism acts.
Secondly; Until today, the fight against terrorism had mostly been military-oriented and hardware-oriented, in which the effective and comprehensive role of Iran in the fight against terrorism is evident. In the political field, the convergence and synergy between countries in the framework of security agreements, such as the Tehran-Baghdad security agreement, which was signed during Admiral Shamkhani's visit to Iraq last March, has been of interest.
Considering that military and political action is not an effective way for dealing with state terrorism like America, the approach of using judicial capacities seems to be a suitable solution.
To be more precise; The recent action of the judiciary is the reopening of a new dimension of Iran's fight against terrorism, which can establish comprehensive security in the region and the world by bringing to justice the main leaders of terrorism such as the US and Britain.
Thirdly; The West's track record shows that they have always hidden their state crimes and terrorism behind filing cases against other countries and escaped punishment by implementing the principle of "Ask not to be held accountable" and even blackmailed other countries by lying and filing cases.
In accordance; The action of the judiciary in investigating the Nojeh coup case and condemning the US can be the start of new demands for holding the West accountable for the countless crimes they have committed against the nation of Iran and other countries worldwide.
Western countries’ support of Saddam's regime during the 8 years of imposed war against Iran, by giving chemical weapons to Iraq, which, their effects still threaten the lives of thousands of Iranians, the downing of an Iranian passenger plane by the American ship named USS Vincennes, sheltering and supporting terrorist groups such as the MKO and other opposition groups, whose hands are tainted with blood of more than 17 thousand Iranians, the assassination of Iran's nuclear scientists, the assassination of resistance commanders including the martyr General Qasem Soleimani, and hundreds of other crimes have been recorded in the state terrorism case of the US and its allies against Iran.
One of the most important types of Western state terrorism against the nation of Iran can be seen in the imposed sanctions against Iran, as according to the official report of Ms. Alena Douhan, UN Special Rapporteur on the negative impact of unilateral coercive measures in September of last year, the imposed sanctions against Iran are illegal, inhumane, and furthermore, they are in violation of all humanitarian laws and the UN’s Charter, and its perpetrators should be held accountable and be punished accordingly, and the imposed sanctions should be lifted immediately.
According to what was mentioned regarding a part of the US crimes against the Iran in the aforementioned case, it can be said that the recent action of Iran’s judicial system can be an important step forward towards the reopening of the said cases and the punishment and accountability of the perpetrators of these crimes, especially since human rights and international institutions have shown for years that they have lack independence for taking any action and cannot be counted on for fulfilling and safeguarding the rights of the nation of Iran.
In the meantime, the behavior of Western human rights claimants, including the Persian-language media outlets of oppositions, who always present themselves as the saviors of the Iranian people and prescribe a prescription for chaos and disintegration, is interesting. The taken legal actions and public prosecutor can be an important step towards the realization of the Iran’s rights and safeguarding the mental peace of its society against the strategies of opposition media.
