NOURNEWS- The following headlines appeared in English-language newspapers in the Iranian capital on Tuesday, August 22, 2023:

IRAN DAILY:

-- Iran’s booming oil flow surges above 2mbd:

Iran’s oil exports are surging this month, swelling global flows at a time when other producers are cutting back, according to a firm that monitors satellite imagery of individual tankers.
The boom is awkward for the US, which officially still has sanctions in place that should restrict Iran’s shipments. Even so, the extra cargoes will help cushion the impact of reductions by Saudi Arabia, Russia and other nations in the OPEC+ alliance, Bloomberg reported on Monday.
TankerTrackers.com Inc., which provides data on oil cargo shipments to governments, insurers and other institutions, estimates that the Persian Gulf state exported 2.2 million barrels a day of crude and condensates during the first 20 days of August. If maintained, it would far exceed any other month this year and is well above what other oil-shipping analytics firms say.
It was already known that Iran’s shipments were surging, but the data for August would represent a marked leg higher if maintained for the remainder of the period. The flow rate for the past 28 days shows shipments running at a rate of 2.1 million barrels a day.
Flows from the Persian Gulf country are hard to monitor because the large numbers of tankers sailing there will routinely switch off their transponders, making them invisible to systems that rely on collating the signals that vessels emit.
TankerTrackers studies images from satellites and collates data manually, meaning it doesn’t rely on the Automatic Identification System, or AIS, signals.
None of the exported barrels came from floating storage, although it’s possible some could have come from on-land tanks, TankerTrackers co-founder Samir Madani said.
The lion’s share of the August flow has been crude oil, with just over 200,000 barrels a day of condensate — a lighter form of oil.

-- Annual caviar production to hit 100 tons by 2025:

Iran has targeted to produce 10,000 tons of sturgeon meat and 100 tons of caviar by March 2025.
There are about 13 species and four hybrids of sturgeon bred in the world and by March 2025 Iran is predicted to produce 100 tons of caviar, said Mahmoud Bahmani, the head of Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (AREEO), according to IRNA.
The number of sturgeon farms in 20 provinces of Iran are about 195 units as Mazandaran, Gilan and Fars provinces ranked first to third in sturgeon fish production in the year to March 2022, Bahmani added.
It is suggested to monopolize the production of caviar using Caspian Sea water in order to preserve the brand of Iranian caviar, the official noted.
China, Italy and the US were the top three caviar exporting countries based on weight and global sales in 2021, which exported 244 tons, 234 tons, and 72 tons, respectively, Bahmani stated.
Preserving the Iranian Caviar brand and paying enough attention to Iranian local species is extremely crucial. Also, preparing and implementing a program to preserve and restore sturgeon stocks and using big data in modern aquaculture of the fish are other measures that can help the future development of aquaculture industry.

-- Iran’s exports to Turkey hit $2b in four months:

Iran exported non-oil commodities worth $2 billion to Turkey during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), announced the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Turkey was the third top export destination of Iranian non-oil goods in the four-month period.
Based on the data previously released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the value of Iran’s exports to Turkey increased by 19 percent to reach $3.35 billion in 2022.

-- Iran to unveil indigenous unmanned jet:

An Iranian Defense Ministry official says the country plans to unveil the unmanned version of the domestically-developed Qaher-313 (Conqueror-313) stealth fighter aircraft within the next few months.
Brigadier General Afshin Khajeh Fard, who is also the head of Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO), announced on Monday that the unmanned fighter jet is being built in two versions and will be put on display in the coming months, according to Press TV.
“Iranian military experts have managed to acquire the cutting-edge know-know and modern technologies since multinational arms corporations do not share the technology with Iran,” Khajeh Fard said.
The Iranian fighter jet Qaher-313 was unveiled in February 2013. The single-seat stealth fighter jet can take off and land on short runways.
He added that Iranian military specialists and technicians, despite the fact that the country is under sanctions and coercive measures, have managed to repair and overhaul all aircraft operated by the country’s Armed Forces over the past four decades.
He also said 15 different types of helicopters are among the fleet of aircraft made available to various units of the country’s Armed Forces.
According to Khajeh Fard, Iran now manufactures Simourgh light transport aircraft, which weighs between 4 and 6 tons.
Homegrown Yasin training jet will also undergo a test flight in the next few weeks, he added.
Iranian technicians, he said, are currently upgrading bombs and missiles intended to be furnished in Kowsar fighter jets with a radar that was specifically developed for it.

-- Iran Warns Sweden, Denmark Over Desecrations:

 Iranian Foreign
Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian here Monday denounced the desecration of the Holy Qur’an in Sweden and Denmark, warning the two Nordic countries to rethink their “wrong policies” before it is too late.
More acts of sacrilege against the Holy Qur’an have taken place in Sweden and Denmark, even as the two countries have said they are exploring ways to legally limit such actions to deescalate growing tensions with Muslim countries.
In yet another act of desecration of the Holy Qur’an, a notorious Sweden-based refugee has burned a copy of the sacred Muslim book in front of the Iranian embassy in Stockholm.
In a joint press conference with his Malaysian counterpart Zambry Abdul Kadir here, Amir-Abdollahian said both sides “vehemently condemned the desecration of holy books, Abrahamic religions and the Holy Qur’an” in Sweden and Denmark.

He said the Muslim world and nations would not tolerate such sacrilegious acts and urged Stockholm and Copenhagen to be cautious about the rise of extremism, violence and terrorism in Europe.
Amir-Abdollahian emphasized that Muslim countries would severely pursue the idea of banning the purchase of Swedish and Danish commodities.
On Sunday, the deputy director general of the Human Rights Department of Iran’s Foreign Ministry summoned Sweden and Denmark’s chargés d’affaires in Tehran in protest at the continuation of brazen and heinous acts of insulting the Muslim holy book.
The Iranian diplomat said the governments of Sweden and Denmark have to bear the full responsibility and serious consequences of this blasphemous move.

-- US Terrorism Assumes Different Shapes:

The US is without the doubt the prime purveyor of terrorism and its terrorist hordes are not confined to the CENTCOM criminals that have infiltrated our region but come under various brands, including the takfiris who sacrilege Islamic shrines.
The fresh batch of some three thousand US marines that have provocatively entered the Red Sea and intend to intrude into the Persian Gulf are terrorists, and so are the Zionists whose pastime is to pummel Palestinians to death and to desecrate the sanctity of the al-Aqsa Mosque.
The recent desecration of the holy shrine of Shah Cheragh in Shiraz – the second such sacrilege within a year – by the Daesh terrorists is undoubtedly a US-instructed attack on the sanctities of Islam and the Iranian people.
In other words, the macabrely murderous Daesh terrorists operating in Afghanistan, lingering in Syria and Iraq, and trying to infiltrate Iran, could be called US marines.
A recent report said that over the past few weeks some two hundred takfiri terrorists have been arrested in various parts of Iran and Iraq before they could carry out explosions to try to disturb the grand Arba’een pilgrimage march in the two countries.
The US is opposed to the welfare of the Muslim people and does not hesitate to indulge in crimes against them, as is also borne out by its carrying out the August 1953 coup in Iran to restore to power in Tehran the fugitive British installed Pahlavi potentate.
For the next quarter century the US plundered the natural resources of Iran and tried to destroy its religious values and cultural identity before the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and its unceremonious exit.
Since then, Uncle Sam has tried every devilish trick but failed miserably against the Islamic Republic, thanks to the vigilance of the people of Iran who are indeed the inspiration for the emergence of the indomitable Resistance Axis in West Asia.
This has further angered the Americans, especially the defeat of their plan to overthrow the government of Syria and to turn Iraq into a satellite to be exploited by the illegal Zionist entity as part of ‘Greater Israel’.
Now we better understand the grand American design to commit the most horrendous acts of terrorism, including sacrilege of Islamic sanctities.
Of course, Washington will never admit its role in such blasphemous acts, including desecration of copies of the Holy Qur’an in certain European countries, but the whole world now knows that the Great Satan is the archenemy of Islam and Muslims.

TEHRAN TIMES:

-- Palestinian resistance expands to Israeli jails:

The Palestinian Prisoners Movement has announced the suspension of a combined hunger strike by more than 1,000 inmates languishing in Israeli prisons. The inmates started the collective strike earlier this week. They have cited the recent deteriorating treatment of prison guards, including raiding their cells and forcibly transferring them to other units without any notice in the Negev prison. The leaders of the prisoners (who are prisoners themselves) also cited the threats made by extremist Israeli cabinet minister Itamar Ben-Gvir during a visit to the Ofer Prison on Wednesday for their mass protest. At the Ofer Prison, Ben-Gvir ordered an expansion of punitive measures against the Palestinian prisoners. The measures included arbitrary and forced transfer of the Palestinians from one prison to another, deprivation of bathroom use, and more raids into the cells of the prisoners, which reportedly took place immediately. On Wednesday, Ben-Gvir posted a photo of himself alongside Israeli prison

Iran’s application has been welcomed by China. Additionally, the senior Chinese diplomat said that Iran is seen as a key participant in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). In spite of the United States’ unilateral sanctions against the two nations, Iran and China inked the 25-year deal in March 2021. The agreement formalizes the Sino-Iranian Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which was launched in 2016 during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Tehran.
