The differences between member states of NATO regarding East Asia; repetition of Paris’s betrayal to Washington!

After the failed visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Beijing, the visit of the French Minister of Economy showed that the western countries do not have a united approach towards Beijing and for dealing China.

NOURNEWS- While American and British authorities are increasing the depth and scope of their interventionism day by day in Beijing's backyard and the geographical and strategic area of East Asia, some member countries of NATO such as France and Germany have serious doubts about the consequences of this interventionism.

A while ago, the president of France Emmanuel Macron could not hide his concern about the escalation of Washington's continuous crises in Taiwan and East Asia, and openly expressed his concern about the existing strategy to break the existing ties between the West and China.

Now, once again, the French authorities are sending different signals from the US regarding the current categories in East Asia.

In this regard; French Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, said in Beijing: The complete severance of economic relations between America and Europe with China is impossible and nothing more than a mere illusion.

Le Maire, who traveled to Beijing to conduct economic and financial talks with China, announced his negotiations and lobbies to attract Chinese capital in the French electric car industry during his press conference held at the French Embassy in Beijing.

He said part of his talks was focused on laying the groundwork for more exports of cosmetics, agricultural products and products and technologies of the French aerospace industry.

The statements of the Minister of Economy of France show that this European country, as one of main member countries of NATO, has abandoned the seasoning of caution and deterrence in macro trade relations with Beijing. On the other hand, the Chinese have demands from the French, the most important of which is to regulate Washington's counter game and control it.

The Chinese government has recently launched a massive effort to develop its chip industry, but Washington has blocked the country's access to advanced manufacturing tools while persuading its allies to impose restrictions on Beijing.

In contrast, Beijing has warned that restricting access to chip and semiconductor industry technologies could disrupt the smartphone industry and other industries, including automobiles.

In such a situation, the Chinese will probably take help from France's ability to regulate Washington's anti-Chinese approach.

Anyways, after the failed visit of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Beijing, the visit of the French Minister of Economy showed that the western countries do not have a united approach towards Beijing and for dealing China.

This difference is not only of a tactical nature, but also a product of strategic conflicts within the NATO group in parts of the world, including East Asia, especially since the vulnerability of Western actors to play on American soil has decreased after the experience of the Ukraine war.

Beyond that; Top officials from the EU's 27 member states are also trying to reduce the trade deficit with China, which swelled to 396 billion euros ($432 billion) last year.
