!The Final words that were not spoken to Zelenskyy a year ago

Ukraine has become a victim of behind-the-scenes dealings of the US and Europe, and Zelenskyy's begging and threats regarding the necessity of his country's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty have not led anywhere and will not amount to anything from now on.

NOURNEWS- The negative and discouraging signals sent to Kyiv from time to time by the state members of the NATO have intensified these days.

In the latest case, Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz once again reiterated his opposition to Ukraine's intention to immediately join NATO and said: "No one can become a member of the defense alliance (NATO) during the war." "One of the criteria for NATO membership is that there are no border conflicts."

Undoubtedly, Zelenskyy never remembers that before the Ukraine war, and even in its initial months, senior officials of NATO have established such a rule regarding the acceptance of a country's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty.

Decoding the words of the chancellor of German is not a difficult task, because the US and Europe (Atlanticists) do not want to accept the costs of supporting a war-torn country in the form of obligations contained in the NATO treaty - especially the obligation to defend it directly according to Article 5 of the NATO statute.

In such a circumstance, Ukraine plays the role of a troublesome country and a costly ally for the West, a country that even some NATO members believe should be gotten rid of as soon as possible!

Scholz’s words are an example of the West's evasion of responsibility for the Ukraine crisis. Sending negative signals about Ukraine's membership in NATO shows that the West is not even responding to the targeted war it launched in Kiev.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, has put pressure on NATO leaders to put Ukraine on the path to join NATO and warned that otherwise he will not attend the upcoming meeting of NATO leaders in Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania.

Scholz’s recent words show that Zelenskyy's threats have no value and credibility for the West, and that the president of Ukraine has practically become a victim of an insolent and imposed game by NATO.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine in February 2022, the US and the EU have sent tens of billions of dollars in weapons to Kyiv, and gradually heavier and more advanced weapons, including main battle tanks, the Patriot air defense system, and British long-range missiles, are at Ukraine’s disposal to use against Russia and western countries war against Moscow.

They have turned Ukraine into a scorched earth, without taking responsibility for its fate during the war and after.

Ukrainians thought that after the war, NATO would establish a no-fly zone over Kyiv and immediately make Ukraine a member of the NATO and the EU, but such an idea and way of thinking was completely false from the beginning.

To describe it more precisely; Ukraine has become a victim of behind-the-scenes dealings of the US and Europe, and Zelenskyy's begging and threats regarding the necessity of his country's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty have not led anywhere and will not amount to anything from now on.

This two-headed losing game, more than anything else, is the result of incorrect strategic calculations and the idealistic and costly assumptions of the Ukrainian authorities regarding the nature of NATO, and the cost of this failure has been much heavier than the initial assumptions of the President of Ukraine and his companions.
