NOURNEWS- On the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement, which is being held in the conference hall of Baku city, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met and talked with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
At this meeting, Iran’s FM conveyed the greetings of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ilham Aliyev, and in turn, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan conveyed his greetings to the President of Iran, thanking him for this message.
Azerbaijan and Iran play an important role in the development of the North-South transport corridor.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran stressed on the judicial and disciplinary investigation of the country regarding the terrorist attack against the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran and expressed hope that the activities of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran will soon be restored.
Referring to the role of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the non-aligned movement and the measures taken towards its establishment, the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan emphasized and said: The increasing dynamics of economic and commercial relations between Tehran and Baku is a joyous occasion, and the development of the North-South transport corridor and the implementation of communication routes between the East Zangezur Economic Region is a positive event.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed his hope that in the near future, bilateral meetings will be held between the officials of the two countries.
