NOURNEWS- Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman warned of the political and legal repercussions of the continuation of the approach of the French government to support and host terrorists and murderers of Iranian citizens and officials.
In a statement on Sunday, Nasser Kanaani, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman says France playing host to a gathering of the MKO terrorist cult at the same time with the political and social discontent and nationwide popular protests in the country is a result of the French government’s lack of attention to the demands of its citizens and continuation of political support for terrorist groupings.
“Instead of repeating their past brazen mistakes in supporting the killers of the Iranian people and instead of focusing on finding a radical solution for their country’s profound problems and crisis, and correcting their biased and racist treatment of French citizens, the French authorities pave the way for the meeting of terrorists who have recently been put to shame in Albania,” the spokesman said
The Foreign Ministry spokesman strongly condemned the French government act.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed that French government officials opt for providing the ground for the gathering of terrorists, after their recent scandal in Albania that reverberated across the world, rather than making up for their past grave mistakes of supporting the murderers of the people of Iran and focusing on finding the root causes and final settlement of the deep-rooted problems and crisis inside the country and instead of correcting the discriminatory and racially-charged treatments of the French citizens.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman warned of the political and legal repercussions of the continuation of the approach of the French government to support and host terrorists and murderers of Iranian citizens and officials.
“Terrorists, who have betrayed their own country and people by committing horrible and shocking crimes, will definitely not spare their foreign sponsors of such betrayal. From this viewpoint, supporters of terrorists not only will not benefit from them, but also, they will ultimately suffer the backlash from their own measures”, said Kanaani.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman concluded his remarks by advising the French politicians to pay more attention to the demands of their own people instead of supporting such terrorist groups, which only foment terrorism and chaos in other countries.
The MKO has carried out numerous terrorist attacks against Iranian civilians and government officials since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Out of the nearly 17,000 Iranians killed in terrorist attacks over the past four decades, about 12,000 have fallen victim to the MKO’s acts of terror.
The foreign ministry spokesman noted that keen eyes of the Iranian nation and the freethinkers in the world will not fail to notice hypocritical approaches in countering terrorism.
