France burns in flames of demonstrations while Syria and West Asia progress toward peace

But the fact once again proves that when the shadow cast by Western countries becomes smaller, the dawn of peace becomes bigger. Countries in the West Asia have not lost anything due to their independent foreign policies, but have achieved dialogue, reconciliation, and won respect.

NOURNEWS- Arab social networks compare the situation in the Syria and France, one of which has gone to great lengths to destroy the other.

It's important to remember that the US, UK and France initially armed what they considered "moderate" rebel groups and they provided military aid to the Syrian opposition and rebel militants that opposed the Syrian government after the start of the civil war in 2011. They supplied the rebels with military aid under the disguise non-lethal assistance.

Twelve years of war have inflicted immense suffering on the Syrian people. The Syrian civil war led to multi-dimensional crises in West Asia. For example, the humanitarian, security and economic dynamics of Syria are interlinked with that of Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq after more than eleven years of a devastating war.

Death of civilians:

Furthermore, The United Nations Human Rights Office estimated last year that 306,887 civilians - 1.5% of the total pre-war population - were killed between March 2011 and March 2021 due to the conflict. According to the UN’s report, at least 27,126 of those estimated to have been killed were children.

Migration crisis:

Even to this day, it is stated in UN’s Reports about the Syria refugee crisis that: The Syrian Arab republics crisis remained one of the largest displacement crises in the world in 2022. Over 12 million Syrians remained forcibly displaced in the region, in addition to the bloodshed, more than half of Syria's pre-war population of 22 million have had to flee their homes. Some 6.8 million are internally displaced, with more than two million living in tented camps with limited access to basic services. Another 6 million are refugees or asylum-seekers abroad. Neighboring Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey, which are hosting 5.3 million of them, have struggled to cope with one of the largest refugee exoduses in recent history.

Security crisis:

The security crisis created by the war in the Syria led to the creation of ISIS and Western warmonger countries used this opportunity to help ISIS while claiming they are fighting against this extremist group to protect West Asia, the same region which has suffered the most because of the Western countries’ ambitions and influence in the region.

Progress in the Region:

But after 12 years of devastating war in Syria and other political crises in the region. In an attempt to resist the influence of countries like the US, Britain, France, Germany and other Western countries, with the renewal of relations between Riyadh and Tehran, and Syria’s return to the Arab League, West Asia is becoming more united than ever before.

While all of these developments are a progress toward peace, security and prosperity in West Asia, The US and Britain openly expressed "criticism" in regards of the return of Syria to the Arab League, and claimed that Syria "should not be readmitted." Even some Western mainstream media outlets reported that Arab League readmitted Syria after more than a decade of isolation "in defiance of US;" The Wall Street Journal admitted that US influence is waning in the Middle East. These facts are an example of Western countries overwhelming reluctance and non-acceptance of the independence and autonomy shown in the West Asia.

Of course, they will feel uncomfortable. The tragic stories that have occurred in Syria and the Middle East in recent years are largely due to Western countries’ Middle East policy of "playing one side against the other." In their eyes, the desperate plight of ordinary families and their lack of sufficient food are just dust on the boots of their military and not worth mentioning.

But the fact once again proves that when the shadow cast by Western countries becomes smaller, the dawn of peace becomes bigger. Countries in the West Asia have not lost anything due to their independent foreign policies, but have achieved dialogue, reconciliation, and won respect.

France Protests:

While Western countries, especially France, criticize Iran and other West Asian countries by using human rights as an excuse to impose their political agendas in the region. After Nahel Merzouk a 17-year-old French youth of Maghrebi Algerian descent, who was driving without a license, was shot and killed by a police officer during a traffic stop following a car chase in Nanterre, a suburb of Paris, France. This country is facing massive protests.

Western countries have always claimed that they are the protectors of human right and ethics, but, similar to the Floyd case in the US and the Black Lives Matter movement in the US and the way which policemen fought against the protestors, and the current situation in France, Western countries and their media outlets do not care about human rights, their claims and used terms are just a political tool to use against other countries. This fact is obvious in recent reports about protests in France published by their media and their attempts to change the facts.
