NOURNEWS - At the end of the one-day trip of Ajit Doval, in a joint statement signed by Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Itan and his Indian counterpart, both sides assessed the global, regional and bilateral developments on the commitment of the two countries in the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations were emphasized in order to create peace, stability and security in the region. In a part of this statement, which was issued in Tehran today, Monday, May 1, 2023, the two sides, while announcing their commitment to increase cooperation in order to jointly face global regional challenges, emphasized the need to review new and influential developments in the world to strengthen multilateralism. Strengthening cooperation in bilateral, regional and multilateral formats with the aim of regional integration is among other things mentioned in the joint statement. In this statement, transportation is mentioned as a main element in regional integration and collective welfare, and in this regard, the Chabahar project is emphasized as a symbol of cooperation between the two sides. The need to promote joint efforts with the Russian Federation and other interested countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus with the aim of upgrading the existing corridors, especially the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) and other transportation routes that use Chabahar as a transit hub in the region, including There are other common approaches mentioned in this statement. In another part of the joint statement of the national security institutions of Iran and India, the parties expressed concern about the humanitarian and economic situation in Afghanistan and supported the establishment of an inclusive government with the meaningful participation of all groups and ethnic groups.
