Copenhagen Gate; A case that should not be opened!
More than a year has passed since the story of Findsen's espionage and the European media do not go into the details of the case and the colorful role of America in the intelligence betrayal of the head of the Danish Defense Intelligence Service!
NOURNEWS - About 13 months ago, on January 2022, the news about the arrest of Lars Findsen, the head of Denmark's Defense Intelligence Service, was published on charges of being involved in a "top secret" information leak case.
The Reuters news agency claimed at that time that in addition to Findsen, six working and retired employees of the Danish Defense Intelligence Service, who mostly worked in the military and defense fields, were accused and arrested in this case.
The arrest of the head of the foreign intelligence unit of the Danish intelligence service created many uncertainties regarding the nature of the case and the international actors involved in it, which, considering the passage of more than a year, still remains unanswered.
That; Considering the special security relations governing European countries, the "Findsen" spying service was definitely not inside the Green Continent, and one should look for another actor or actors whose name was disclosed not only by Reuters but also by some other western media as they considered it their red line!
Not long ago, the France 24 channel claimed in a report that Copenhagen has become the main location for listening and collecting European information for the benefit of American intelligence agencies.
In this regard, French journalist Sebastian Seibt writes: "The assistance of Danish spies to the National Security Agency of the United States to collect information from European leaders is not a new issue, and this country has long played an essential role in this field."
Denmark had previously become the US National Security Agency's intelligence base for spying on then German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other German, French, Norwegian and Swedish politicians and figures from at least 2012 to 2014.
A simple decoding of the France 24 report, which was published about six months before the revelation of Findsen's arrest, simply shows that his accusation was more than unconventional cooperation and behind-the-scenes espionage between Copenhagen and Washington!
The problem is almost clear; America has even snooped on its security partner, Denmark, through the Foreign Intelligence Service.
Some Danish sources have revealed that part of the country's top secret military and defense information was transferred to the US security apparatus through the foreign intelligence service, without the Danish intelligence service being aware of this "systematic betrayal".
Now, more than a year has passed since the story of Findsen's espionage and the European media do not go into the details of the case and the colorful role of America in the intelligence betrayal of the head of the Danish Defense Intelligence Service!
Basically, such information is not going to be disclosed in the future because the officials of the CIA, National Security Agency and other US intelligence agencies do not allow this dissatisfaction to be expressed to their security partners in Europe (senior officials of the Danish intelligence service).
To describe precisely; What happened in Denmark shows well how European actors, despite playing directly and voluntarily in the American security puzzle, are again being spied on by this country and stealing top secret information.
This instrumental view of Washington towards European allies, one is rooted in the security relations on both sides of the Atlantic, and the other is rooted in the top-down view of the Democrats, Republicans and other American political and security officials towards the Europeans.
Undoubtedly, if the European citizens are aware of the depth of the disaster and humiliation inflicted on their country by the American spy and intelligence agencies, there will be no room left for the governments and self-defeating intelligence institutions of many European countries to breathe at least by these disgruntled and angry citizens.
