NOURNEWS - Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, at the fifth meeting of the regional security dialogue, that began this morning in Moscow with the presence of the Secretaries and National Security Advisors of Afghanistan's neighboring countries, during his extensive remarks regarding the current situation in Afghanistan, explained the establishment of lasting peace and stability in this country. In this meeting, which began with the speech of the Secretary of the National Security Council of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Patrushev, the secretaries and advisors and representatives of the national security institutions of Russia, Iran, India, China, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan have participated. Admiral Shamkhani stated at the beginning of his speech that during the past four decades and in the worst conditions of Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always stood by the people of this country and added: "Even now, based on the guidance of the Supreme Leader and despite the problems that the cruel, unilateral and illegal sanctions of the United States of America have created for the people of Iran, the government and people of Iran continue to provide assistance to the people of Afghanistan and welcome a large number of guests. are from this country." Referring to the direct impact of security conditions in Afghanistan on the country's neighbors, he said: "Creating security, peace, stability and progress in Afghanistan is our main priority." The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, pointing out that the collective efforts of the neighbors alone cannot be the foundation for the creation of lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan, considered the way out of the vicious cycle of insecurity-instability to be the will and concrete actions of the governing body of Afghanistan and other internal actors. Shamkhani, mentioned measures necessary to achieve stability in Afghanistan including the promotion of Afghanistan's national unity by providing the basis for the participation of all the people of this country in politics and government, without ethnic and racial bias, and the full fulfillment of Afghanistan's commitments in various fields, especially regarding neighbors, and serious efforts to curb terrorist groups. The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council added: "Further delay in the pursuit of political mechanisms for the participation of all ethnic groups and parties in governance as well as other stabilizing matters in Afghanistan will not only bring no advantage, but will add to the current problems of this country." Shamkhani emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that imposing any kind of political system by resorting to foreign intervention or internal confrontation will only increase instability and insecurity without entering into the formation of a comprehensive government in Afghanistan. Referring to America's continuous effort to turn Afghanistan into a platform for promoting insecurity and terrorism, he said: "Insecurity, which has always been the bane of Afghans' lives, should not be allowed to become a common bane of all the people of the region with extra-regional interventions." The secretary of Iran's National Security Council stated: "Those who played the biggest role in the destruction of Afghanistan are now most responsible for providing the costs of rebuilding Afghanistan's economic infrastructure, and we should not allow them to shirk this responsibility." Shamkhani stated that the blocked assets of Afghanistan belong to the people of this country and its liberation plays a vital role in the reconstruction of this country and said: "Using these assets should not be blocked by the cruel and illegal sanctions of the United States." At the end of his speech, Shamkhani once again announced the full readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the political, economic, cultural and social reconstruction and development of Afghanistan and requested: "The countries present in this meeting should take more active roles to create an independent, secure, stable and developed Afghanistan."
