The West is in crisis and the protests are not heard

The statistics of Western media and institutions indicate the simultaneous occurrence of unprecedented economic and political crises and a significant increase in social protests in these countries.

NOURNEWS - In many European and American countries, popular protests against government policies have intensified, especially in the field of inability to manage the economic situation and curb rampant inflation.

The defeat of the conservative party in the British local elections, which was the source of a series of resignations in Johnson's cabinet, and the failure of the Macron coalition in the French parliamentary elections, which has been unprecedented in recent decades, are examples of this type of public protests against government policies.

Political experts believe that it is likely that this event will be repeated in the American parliamentary elections.

Voting will take place in the midterm elections of the United States of America on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 to determine the assignment of all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate.

On the other hand, these popular protests have been manifested in the form of nationwide strikes. As in many European countries such as England, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, etc., airline companies and road and rail transport unions have organized nationwide strikes.

People's protests against the warmongering policies of the West, which have caused the global food and energy crisis, are one of the bold aspects of the street demonstrations.

The Bank of England announced last week that the price of essential goods such as food and energy in the UK and globally has increased sharply and the outlook for growth has worsened.

Referring to the tightening of the monetary policies of the central banks in the euro zone, the Financial Times newspaper predicted that these decisions could bring the major European economies into recession.

This newspaper stated: More than 40 billion dollars of European bonds are currently difficult to trade.

Financial Times calculations based on the indicators of the financial services company "Interactive Data" show that corporate bonds have accumulated to the amount of 6 billion euros at the end of 2021.

Corporate debt more than doubled from May 31 to June 30, raising concerns that central bank decisions to tighten monetary policy could plunge major economies into recession.

The inflation rate in the countries that use the euro currency has increased significantly and has reached a new record.

According to the latest report of the European Union Statistical Office known as Eurostat, the annual inflation rate in 19 countries of the Eurozone reached 8.6% in June (June-July), which is 8.1% recorded in May (May-June).

In this way, the inflation rate in the Eurozone has reached its highest level since 1997, when the European single currency was registered.

The price of energy in the Eurozone has increased by 41.9%, and the price of food and tobacco has also increased by 8.9%.

In England, due to the deterioration of the situation, the parliament of this country asked the Johnson government to form a ministry of food poverty.

Germany's Bild newspaper also announced in a report; Due to the increase in inflation, people have been forced to reduce their meals in such a way that one out of every 6 Germans skips a meal to save money.

In a report, Figaro states that French inflation broke the 37-year record.

The publication adds, the price of housing, insurance, social security services, rent, water, household waste collection, are increasing.

At the same time, the West is facing an economic and inflationary crisis and is suffering from a budget deficit to meet the needs of the people, which at the same time has allocated 600 billion dollars to deal with China.

The imprudence of the West in this situation becomes more obvious when these countries throw stones in the way of an agreement with one of the biggest energy holders, Iran, in the context of the energy crisis.

The indifference of Western statesmen to the demands and problems of the people can be clearly seen in this sentence of Biden, who says: "Inflation in the United States is due to the support of Ukraine, people must bear it."
