Riyadh meeting; Resolving the Yemeni crisis or preparing to continue the aggression?

Many Yemeni political and media activists, in response to the Riyadh summit and the cessation of Saudi attacks on Yemen, see these activities not as a practical step toward peace and an end to the war, but as a tactic to divert public opinion and hide the aggressors' critical situation, especially after the recent attacks by Yemenis to the Aramco facility in Jeddah.

NOURNEWS - Saudi Arabia suspended its military operations against the oppressed people of Yemen at 6 am today, Wednesday, April 30, 1401, claiming that the Yemeni consultations were successful and that the devastating aggression of the Saudi-Emirati coalition had entered its eighth year.

The organizers of the summit claim that their consultations will focus on six areas, including military, political, human rights and social issues.

Regardless of the important ambiguities about the reality of the goals set for this meeting, holding it in a country that for eight years ignored all human principles and human rights, even from attacking mourning and wedding parties, hospitals, schools, markets and. .. also left out is a serious question.

Riyadh claims to be hosting the Yemeni-Yemeni summit, which is itself the main focus of the Yemeni crisis and war, so Saudi Arabia is not qualified to hold the summit, as the Yemenis have emphasized.

In addition, the groups present at the Riyadh summit are currents that have taken up arms against the Yemeni people alongside the Saudis over the past eight years, and many of their leaders even reside in Riyadh and the UAE.

Therefore, currents such as groups related to Mansour Hadi, al-Qaeda and some separatist tribes that are present at this meeting do not represent the Yemeni people.

The Yemeni People's Government has always offered significant proposals and initiatives to end the war, based on the cessation of Saudi attacks, the complete end of the siege and sanctions, the general exchange of prisoners, the reopening of airports and ports, etc., but never with the initiative The aggressors have not received a favorable opinion.

Naturally, the Saudi approach to ending the war can be taken seriously when it is not against the will of the Yemeni people.

Saudi Arabia's attempt to persuade the United States to list Yemen's Ansar al-Islam as a terrorist group cannot be considered a sign of Saudi Arabia's genuine willingness to reach an agreement with Yemen's main political and military actor, which is also supported by its people.

In such circumstances, one cannot hope for the Riyadh meeting as a serious and non-show mechanism to end the Yemeni crisis.

Through the Riyadh summit, Saudi Arabia seems to be trying to divert public opinion from the scandal of incapacity for disability, rather than seeking real results to pave the way for an end to the war. Ansarullah's missile and drone power in the operation to destroy the Aramco refinery in Jeddah, rebuild the morale of its armed forces to continue the path of the past.
