Achievements of Iran-Uzbekistan security agreements

The truth is that the development of economic and political relations is not possible without regard to the security components, especially since the imposed terrorism has made this region a place of tension.

NOURNEWS - Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, paid an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan last week at the invitation of his counterpart.

During the visit, the secret arrangements for the establishment of a joint security commission between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Uzbekistan were signed by the secretaries of the National Security Council of the two countries in Tashkent.

This document provides the basis for joint cooperation between Tehran and Tashkent in the fight against terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and other transnational organized crime.

According to the document, a wide range of intelligence and security cooperation has been initiated between the two countries, and meetings of the Joint Security Commission are held annually to evaluate the results of cooperation in Tehran and Tashkent.

This trip and the agreement can be considered as a continuation of the active, pragmatic, and result-oriented diplomacy of the 13th government, which in recent months has formed a wide range of regional and trans-regional relations with the priority of neighbors.

In other words; This agreement was a continuation of the process of activating regional capacities to create lasting stability because the Islamic Republic has always emphasized that the way to achieve security in the region is the convergence between neighbors and the presence of foreigners will not result in anything but crisis and insecurity.

Western interventions in West Asia If the 20 years of occupation of Afghanistan, terrorism in Iraq and Syria, decades of Israeli occupation, differences and misunderstandings between neighbors, and the poverty and suffering of nations and the region's involvement in economic terrorism have shown no other result.

The truth is that the development of economic and political relations is not possible without regard to the security components, especially since the imposed terrorism has made this region a place of tension.

Such security agreements, and their extension to regional treaties such as the ECO and Shanghai, could pave the way for widespread economic and political convergence by creating lasting stability and security in the region.

The West, of course, has always tried to portray Iran as an isolated country that disrupts regional order and stability and to reverse Tehran's effective role in securing and stabilizing Iran through Iranophobia, sanctions, and threats.

The world, however, has gradually considered the Islamic Republic as a reliable, stable, and independent partner that has a rational and interactive approach in bilateral relations, and its relations with other countries are not influenced and strengthened by the powers.

In this regard; Admiral Shamkhani's visit to Uzbekistan and the security agreements reached between the two countries can be considered a turning point in relations between the countries of the region, which can pave the way for lasting stability and security in the region.

The Islamic Republic, as it has repeatedly stated and emphasized, is ready to provide all its political, economic, and security capacities to its neighbors within the framework of collective security and the realization of common goals and interests, and it will not give up any action in this regard.
