Different dimensions of Tehran-Caracas strategic interactions

The visit of the Venezuelan Foreign Minister to Tehran can be considered as another step by the two poles of struggle against the domination system, which can be expanded based on the vast capacities of the two countries.

NOURNEWS - Venezuelan Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia met with officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Tehran on Monday.

A look at the relations between the two countries shows that since the presidency of the late President Hugo Chávez, both countries have experienced comprehensive and strategic relations, which have continued on a large scale during the Maduro era.

Regarding the visit of the Venezuelan Foreign Minister to Tehran, there are some noteworthy points:

First; This trip can be considered in line with Iran's smart and pragmatic diplomacy in the 13th government, which in addition to the priorities of neighboring countries and the region based on the interests and goals of the Islamic Republic to other parts of the world, especially that Venezuela's position in Latin America can pave the way. Strengthen Iran's position in this region in relation to other countries.

As part of this purposeful and intelligent diplomacy, Iran has refrained from tying only foreign relations to the UN Security Council and Europe and plans to engage in a balanced engagement with the rest of the world, including the 10th round of Iran-South Africa political talks in Tehran, which is a manifestation of this diplomacy.

Second; The two countries' position on the anti-imperialist front, which is in the form of confronting the interventions and crises of the United States, Europe, confronting the Zionist regime and supporting Palestine, is an important component in the development of relations between the two countries.

Iran in West Asia and Venezuela in Latin America are the focal point of opposition to imperialism, and their interaction can strengthen the link between the two areas of resistance from West Asia to Latin America.

This connection is so important that the United States has always viewed Iran's presence in Latin America as a threat to its interests as it strengthens the awakening of the nations and governments of the region against American hegemony and extravagance.

Note that given the indigenous capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of defense and military and Venezuela's need for these weapons, defense and military diplomacy can form new dimensions of relations between the two countries, especially since last year under Resolution 2231 there was no ban on Iran to trade conventional arms.

Third; Iran and Venezuela are among the top oil and gas holders in the world in the field of energy. This large capacity, on the one hand, can be used in the convergence and coordination between the two countries to stabilize and justify the world energy market, and on the other hand, can be a component to counter the destructive policies and sanctions that the United States seeks to intervene and influence the energy market against Iran and Venezuela.

It is important to note that Venezuela has enormous potential in the oil field, which requires technical and mining knowledge. Iran's indigenous achievements in these areas can be a component for the development of relations between the two countries in the field of energy.

Fourth; Iran and Venezuela, which in the face of oppressive and inhumane sanctions on the capitalist system have great potential to defuse sanctions, such as sending several refueling ships and foodstuffs from Iran and exchanging them for gold, so the two countries along with more active capacity In order to neutralize sanctions, they can pave the way for the formation of a coalition of sanctions in the world.

According to this, the visit of the Venezuelan Foreign Minister to Tehran can be considered another step by the two poles of struggle against the domination system, which can be expanded based on the vast capacities of the two countries.

Last year's experience of transferring fuel from Iran to Venezuela showed that the two countries have the will to strengthen relations and counter threats and sanctions, and with a well-codified and comprehensive plan can achieve new dimensions of sanctions neutralization without negotiating with the West. A process that in the future could take on wider dimensions and even lead to the formation of the Club of Sanctions on the world stage and create new dimensions of the struggle against global imperialism with a focus on economic and political struggle.
