The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, referring to the continuing dangerous and vicious presence of the US military and their overt and covert interference in the internal affairs of the region, stated: "The continuation of these conditions will further increase tensions in the region."

NOURNEWS - Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Representative of the Supreme Leader and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, during a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein on Tuesday afternoon, pointing to the continuing dangerous and vicious presence of US troops and open interference "The continuation of these conditions will further increase tensions in the region," he said.
During the meeting, Shamkhani said that the countries of the region are able to ensure their security without any foreign interference.
He said: "With full knowledge of the goals and behind the scenes of these measures, we are fully prepared to neutralize the plans that hit the stability of the region."
"The nations' disgust with the United States and its allies," said the secretary of our Supreme National Security Council, referring to yesterday's US move to boycott key elements of the counterterrorism resistance in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon and instead give the White House the green light to continue killing people in the region. Shamkhani also stressed the need for full and speedy implementation of the Tehran-Baghdad agreements, which could be a big step in increasing the level of comprehensive cooperation and the welfare of the people of the two countries.
"We call on the Iraqi government to take more serious steps to expel these groups from Iraqi Kurdistan so that Iran not to be forced to take precautionary measures to expel these armed groups from the Kurdish region of Iraq," he said, referring to the continuation of the evil of armed terrorists in Iraqi Kurdistan.
During the meeting, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein congratulated Iran on holding a glorious and successful presidential election: "Political and social stability in Iran brings joy and happiness to the Iraqi government and people."
He called any action against Iran from anywhere in Iraq contrary to the Iraqi government's agenda, noting: "We will deal strongly with any group or movement that wants to abuse Iraqi territory in any way to threaten Iran's security."
Fouad Hussein expressed satisfaction with the gradual resolution of Iraq's debt to Iran, adding: "Although economic and trade relations between Tehran and Baghdad are at a good level, we are ready to improve comprehensive relations with the new government in Iran, given the great potential for cooperation between the two countries."
