Talks between the Afghan parties in Tehran and the requirements for reaching an agreement

The years of experience of civil war in Afghanistan have created political maturity among the country's political groups that political processes based on reliable mediation is the ultimate way to achieve their goals.

NOURNEWS - In addition to what is happening inside Afghanistan after the withdrawal of US troops and the failure of the 20-year occupation by Washington, a promising event is the simultaneous presence of four high-ranking Afghan delegations, including the Afghan Parliament's Cultural Commission and a high-ranking political delegation. The Taliban, the Republican High Council, and the High Council oversee the process of identifying citizens in Tehran to begin political talks.
As reported by the Afghan and Iranian media, the visit of some Afghanistan political leaders and Taliban political leaders to Tehran was organized to attend a meeting to overcome the current crisis in Afghanistan.
The delegations to the Tehran meeting include the names of Yunus Qanuni, Karim Khoram, Ershad Ahmadi, Mohammadullah Batash, Zahir Vahdat, and Salam Rahimi, indicating the presence of representatives from almost all current Afghan political groups in the Tehran talks.
Taliban spokesman Naeem Wardak also confirmed the group's visit to Tehran, led by the group's chief negotiator, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, to hold talks with Afghan government officials.

Why attend Tehran?
The presence of representatives from various groups and the central government of Afghanistan in the Tehran meeting is significant from several perspectives:
- The presence of the mentioned delegations shows the attention of the groups and the central government of Afghanistan on the principle of the ineffectiveness of the war and the military option to achieve their goals.
The experience of years of civil war in Afghanistan has created this political maturity among the political groups of this country that political processes based on reliable mediation are the final solution to achieve their goals.
This kind of attitude and the presence of the mentioned delegations in the Tehran meeting show that the current crisis in Afghanistan is more rooted in foreign intervention and the plans imposed by the occupiers to continue the crisis in this country.
Undoubtedly, one of the main messages of this presence is the distrust of the Afghan people towards the United States. After 20 years in Afghanistan, the Americans not only did not function for the country, but also imposed heavy human and financial costs on the people of this country and the region.
- The primary common denominator between the Taliban and the Afghan central government is the Americans 'dishonesty towards them, as the US has neither complied with its agreements with the Taliban in Qatar nor adhered to its commitments to strengthen the central government’s economic, political and security.
In addition, the holding of the Afghan-Afghan dialogue hosted by Tehran is a clear sign of the trust of the Afghan people, statesmen and groups in the Islamic Republic, as Tehran has always sincerely sought to help resolve the Afghan crisis on the basis of the Afghan-Afghan principle.
The sincere support and hospitality of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the displaced people of Afghanistan who live a safe and peaceful life in Iran in the most difficult economic conditions resulting from the sanctions, enjoying all the privileges of Iranian citizens, along with the political and security initiatives offered by Tehran. The reasons are the trust of the Afghan people in Iran.
Iran's effective role in achieving security in the region is in the field of counter-terrorism, which is recognized by the world. Afghanistan needs political initiatives to overcome the current crisis, and the threat of the rise of ISIS and US-backed terrorist groups poses a serious threat to the country's security.

Approach to reaching a conclusion of the negotiations:
The presence of the currents and the central government of Afghanistan in the Tehran meeting Presence of the currents and the central government of Afghanistan in the Tehran meeting, although it is an important step to converge and bring their views closer in resolving the Afghan crisis, the conclusion of these meetings requires components such as:
- Political will among all groups present in Afghanistan to reach a peaceful solution based on the Afghan-Afghan principle.
- The delegations pay attention to the principle of the Afghan people in any decision and to establish stability and security in their country, which will result in the reduction of disputes and all-out efforts to conclude the negotiations.
Utilize the political, security and diplomatic capacities of friendly countries to expedite the settlement of disputes and reach a comprehensive agreement within the framework of Afghanistan's national interests.
- Global consensus and support for inter-Afghan political dialogue and an end to US direct and indirect interference in Afghanistan to establish lasting security in the country.
