NOURNEWS - Israeli Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit issued a decree on Monday, requiring Netanyahu to appoint David Barnea, who served as Mossad deputy chief from 2019, replacing Yossi Cohen as the new head of the organization.
Barnea, 56, holds a master's degree in business administration from New York University and a military background in the IDF Reconnaissance Regiment. In 1996, he enrolled in a Mossad officer training course and worked in its operations department.
After that, he was the commander of operational units in Israel and abroad, and from 2019 to 2013 he was in charge of Mossad's deputy chief of operations, and he was awarded four military awards.
Introducing Barnea, mentioning the main purpose of the appointment, Netanyahu said: "Mossad and the Israeli government will continue to work for the success of Israel's security. The first duty of each of you is to prevent Iran from arming itself with nuclear weapons. This is the main task."
The former head of Mossad, who seems to have been overwhelmed by his extreme weakness in the intelligence management of the recent 12-day war, said at the ceremony: "Mossad's daily war plan is hidden. We are constantly carrying out countless operations everywhere."
Of course, Netanyahu introduced Barnea as the new head of Mossad a few months ago, but the regime's prosecutor suspended his appointment as head of Mossad after announcing that the new head of Mossad should be appointed after the Israeli elections and the establishment of an interim government.
Given the characteristics of David Barnea, it seems that the Zionist regime is more interested in rebuilding the failed image of Mossad through propaganda in the style of espionage films in Hollywood.
