Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, wrote on his page on X about Ayatollah Raisi's one-day visit to Moscow:

“Thursday, December 7, 2023, during a short trip, negotiations and an important working meeting between the presidents of Iran and Russia were held in the Moscow Kremlin for five hours.”

He continued: An important part of the negotiations focused on the issue of Palestine. The parties emphasized the need to immediately stop the war and genocide in Gaza and the West Bank, stop the forced migration of Gaza residents, and immediately open the Rafah cross border to send massive humanitarian aid to all of Gaza.

Amir Abdollahian emphasized in this regard: Russia is thinking about the initiative.

The head of the diplomatic service of Iran said regarding other topics discussed: “Bilateral relations including banking-monetary affairs, transit, railway, power plant cooperation, agriculture, energy, scientific, academic, technology, tourism, industry…) and regional and international cooperation are of interest were pursued by the two sides.
