NOURNEWS- In a meeting with Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, while referring to the long-standing relations between Iran and China, Dr. Ahmadian, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, emphasized on the promotion of all-round relations in the political, economic and commercial fields in lined with the comprehensive and strategic 25-year long agreement named Iran–China 25-year Cooperation Program, which was signed by the two countries.
Dr. Ahmadian praised the positive role of the Chinese government in the UN Security Council and its support for the oppressed people of Palestine and said: The war machine of the Zionist regime which kills the oppressed people of Palestine must be stopped with all-out international efforts.
In this meeting, Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, also pointed out Iran's role as a bridge between East and West and an important part of China's Belt and Road Initiative and expressed his country's readiness for the comprehensive development of cooperation within the framework of the Iran-China 25-year Cooperation Program.
Appreciating the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in maintaining regional peace and stability, Liu Jianchao also said that China supports Iran's policies to establish stable security in the region.
As he explained the interventionist actions and the negative role of the US in different regions of the world, the head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, put more emphasis on joint cooperation between the two countries to counter the unilateralism of the US.
